Something similar happened to me one time. I got harpooned and somehow either my body with the harpoon in it or harpoon itself bounced back and hit the Traitor. Double pooned.

Had this happen before, I think it occurs when the target you are trying to poon is very closed to you so when you throw it, the tip hits the target but the tail end hits you. Still funny to get a kill out of it though.
