host_writeconfig pushes any changes you've made into your config.cfg file. If you add/redo your binds, run this command to save them.

This could be useful. I’m pretty sure some of my binds got deleted at one point or another and I had to redo them. Thanks, this could prevent it from happening since gmod is funky sometimes.

No problem! If you ever reinstall/switch computers, you can actually snag the config.cfg file in steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\cfg\, and copy it there later to restore old settings.
