As a (relatively) new face around here, and as someone who doesn't really know you very well (or your history in the community), one of the first criticisms I had when observing your recent behavior is that you have some difficulty de-escalating situations.

By my personal philosophy, one of the primary purposes of having staff members on the TTT server is to try and maintain a fun environment for everyone involved; And a big killer of fun & enjoyment for people is unnecessary conflict, especially when it bleeds over into voice/text chat for everyone to hear/see. The natural solution to those kinds of conflicts is the practice of de-escalation. Many of this server's rules are designed with that goal in mind: to either mediate conflicts or prevent them before they even begin. When a conflict does start, it should be a staff member's obligation to try and resolve it as soon as they are able, or at the very least remove it from the TTT server. While perfectly completing that goal every time is essentially impossible, it should still be the driving force behind a staff member's actions.

Bearing that in mind, I'd like to use this thread so far as an example. I think it's natural to feel defensive when you think someone is mischaracterizing you, but it's important to realize that this thread is explicitly the forum for these kinds of conversations to happen and critiques to be given. It's also important to approach these conversations as though they are coming from a place of good faith, because that's usually the case. Nothing anyone says here will be 100% correct and objective, so it's a great idea to use this as an opportunity to try and understand where your critics are coming from and do your best to hear them out and find common ground. That kind of behavior demonstrates the intuition/desire to turn a potential conflict into an opportunity for growth (for everyone involved).

Unfortunately, your latest reply seems to move a bit in the opposite direction. You go even a bit beyond being defensive and bring up the names and actions of people who are not involved in your application or the critiques of those you are replying to. (Side note - While it absolutely is important to point out staff misconduct when you notice it, there are dedicated channels for that kind of thing, so it's best to avoid muddying conversations like these with those types of grievances.) This escalatory conduct is not the type of behavior I'd want to see in a staff member. Because of that, I'm going to leave a -1 on this app.

Sorry for the wall of text... I do want to cap this off by saying that nobody on the staff team is perfect, and we're not a particularly exclusionary bunch, so if you hold interest in becoming staff, I think you've absolutely got a shot. I just think it'd be good to see a shift in the direction of keeping things light-hearted and fun whenever possible, even in the face of potential conflict. Thanks for taking the time to read.
