So what if you choose your next round to be 1pm on a random Tuesday when there’s 1 other person on the server? Then your slay punishment only lasts ~30 seconds.

I think saying 2 point warns stacked up are equivalent in moral weight to a pedophile joke is a misunderstanding of the warn system. Something else to think about is that if you avoid rdming (breaking a rule) you never have to worry about an rdm and leave warn. Yes I understand that almost everyone does regularly, but if it is something you are doing so often that you are worried constantly about having to leave with a report open on you maybe cut back a bit on the rdm itself.

If a guest leaves with a slay they will comeback and be slain the first round they are back. I think this is reminder enough from the previous play session and adding another slay in place of a warn will just make new players/guests that are fine not want to play.

On "accidental" things being tied to warns and bans. You can get indefinitely banned for "accidental" mass rdm (staff discretion for 2 weeks). If you accidentally leave your mic open enough times you can get warned and banned for mic spam. If you somehow "accidentally" say a slur or accidentally hit the wrong bind you still get warned. Lots of the appeals for pedophile jokes are saying that they accidentally broke the rule because they didn't know that making an Epstein joke was not allowed.

The accidental part is a factor of staff discretion and taken into consideration on appeal.

TLDR: I don't see this being a current problem that needs to be addressed. I apologize if the post seems a bit harsh, it really isn't that big of a deal one way or another and if the other admins disagree with me that's perfectly fine and we can change things up.

If the warn is to keep track of behaviour, then surely a zero point warn and an added extra slay would be an appropriate substitution?

The old warn system was just to keep track of behavior with no set thresholds or consequences. The result was people getting like 50 warns with no consequences. Having a two point warn for rdm and leave does multiple things one of them is keeping track of behavior. I think throughout this thread and the MOTD thread I have described most of them and their benefits. Again, currently I don't see any significant downside with the current way we handle it and a number of upsides.

i'll make an exception for whatever no-lifer regularly logs in at 1pm on a tuesday only when they're getting slain
