Folks, we’re doing something very special — very, very special. It’s called the One Big Beautiful Tournament, and let me tell you — it’s gonna be tremendous. We're talking League of Legends, we’re talking competition, we’re talking $150 — not maple syrup money, not Monopoly money — real dollars, split among six of the finest gamers this Discord has to offer. People are saying it could be the most incredible gaming event of the summer. Maybe the year. Maybe the century. Who knows? We’ll see what happens!

Now — when is it? Saturday, August 9th, 2025. That’s a beautiful date. A strong date. You're gonna want to mark your calendars, folks. Teams will be chosen based on your rank and your top two roles — we’ll pick captains, we’ll build some very smart, very balanced teams. No stacked ringers — not on my watch, okay? We're keeping it fair, fun, and frankly, very classy.

We'll be on Summoner’s Rift, of course — because where else would you do something this historic? Standard tournament bans, no goofy rules, no whining if your router kicks it — you lose connection, that’s on you! Unless the other team votes to rematch.
When? Saturday, August 9th, 2025

What? League of Legends tournament

Prize? 150 dollars split between 6 people (or gifts cards whatever)

Teams? Throw your rank and top two preferred roles below (or pick fill), I'll pick captains based off that and compile information for them to choose their teams. I'd let everyone pick their own off-rip but it would be really easy to get a ringer team going. If an overwhelming majority would prefer it that way, we'll rip it and run it, just be vocal about it. League tournaments are hard to make fair and fun smh

Other stuff? Summoner's Rift, normal tournament bans, at this time no restrictions. No pauses, disconnections are on the individual players unless the majority of an opposing team vote to rematch.

i just thought of this 18 minutes ago so prizes haven't been thought of yet, but per usual, i'm sure our lovely admins would be willing to pitch in some prizes on-server for winners

and if anyone that hasn't really been too in the community anymore wants to participate (barring bans), please do, I'd love to fill some spots and maybe rekindle some of those connections :) please :) :) :) ill pay you :): ) :) :) :) not really but yknow

Hello! As most know, I'm hosting a Left 4 Dead 2 Tournament, so I wanted to make another thread once I had all the official information lined up.

Timing is tentative, but it's scheduled for Saturday, February 24th at 4PM EST. Sunday will be used as a potential fallback day if things go awry, which brings me to my next point.

This time around, winning isn't just for bragging rights! Everyone in the tournament has a server of their choice they can win items for. For those that choose TTT, the first place winners will get 4 crates of dumb garbage (or any other crate, but we know you'll choose that), and second place will get to choose any item from a list of available items. I'm sure we'll be able to swing something similar with other servers, but I was just too excited to get this post off the ground to wait any longer.

The most important part, though, is the teams and players. Everyone mostly got to pick their own teams, and I gotta say, most of them are pretty decent. This one's probably going to be a nail biter, honestly, I can't even come close to predicting a winner. So good luck to them, and here's an introduction!

The bracket can be viewed here and will have points, though it's mostly useless, and I have a picture for it below. (peep the name of the league/season). Bracket was randomized a few times by a number randomly picked out by bab, so there's no seeding at all, pure randomness. 3 matches at a time over 3-4 hours, then a final match for the two highest scorers.

There might be issues I can't account for, even with a dry run, for this due to server problems. I know in past tournaments I've held we had some issues, but this time I'm going to be as prepared as possible...it just might not be enough We're going to do the best we can, and figure it out some as we go along. I hope I can ensure everyone has a good time!

I hope everyone can come watch. Spectating is going to be figured out over the weekend, hopefully I can come up with something that is still enjoyable to watch, old games are hard on that.

Judging by the poll I asked Reina to post in the Discord, we're in for a Rand CS:GO Tournament Parts Deux and Trois!

I want to shake it up this time around in a few ways. The biggest difference is that this is actually going to be TWO tournaments.

The first tournament will have entirely random teams, and just be single match, single-elimination over the course of a day, including the final round, with the prize being slightly smaller. Then, based off results on the first tournament, the second tournament will be draft pick. I'll take averages of the top people each game and make them team captains, and we'll draft form there. Hopefully that will give people kind of an idea of skill levels to make drafting go by better. Though I expect most people to just pick their friends, I do encourage people to bust out of their comfort zone and craft a team they think they can win, and practice with them before the second tournament.

The other thing is, I'd just like to make availability optimal, so the date isn't determined yet, I want to get a gauge on when people could do this, or if we have to split it off into segments. The more the merrier, I want to try to go bigger than last time if possible.

I know it makes it harder to want to get into it when you're not just playing with your friends, but I would appreciate people giving it a shot.

To enter, comment or message me (bunniey) on discord. And of course, questions comments concerns in my DMs or commented as well.

If you're going to participate, please finish the tutorial so there aren't issues on the day we do the tournament for it.
Post your Discord tag to join.
Team captains will be random but those team captains can pick whomever in order.
Have fun if this ends up going anywhere!

Lots of people in the community have been having fun with tournaments recently so i wanted prod around to see if anyone is interested in doing a team vs team MOBA tournament in League of Legends mainly because:
1. I'm already tired of fps-based tournaments like ow2, csgo, and the upcoming valorant tournament that icey seems to be hosting, right now.
2. There was a recent update where the map had undergone minor changes (new walls and teleport gate)
3. Because I said so

Core setup:
All Random All Mid (Matches should range from 12m to 23m on average) It is a single lane map there are no different lane roles i stg
My current idea of organizing team strength should consist of:
Player's LOL level
Player's current rank
Player's believed to be deserved rank (if you say grandmaster im going to ca****** you)
Player's number of champions owned.
Main criteria in red

My main plan is to do a sorting of team captains like previous tournaments and randomize teams based on player strength.
I am potentially open to considering a few pre-planned teams if team strength is balanced enough with the rest of the roster; this is subject to change if there are too many issues for my small brain to comprehend.

Hey everyone!!

CSGO won the poll (no surprise). Despite this, we just did a tournament in it and I think variety is important! I've been messaging people and so far we have a list of about 15 that would participate in a Valorant tournament! I have not asked a lot of people so if you would be interested in playing please message me on discord or let me know here! Nothing is set in stone and 15 people would make an underwhelming tournament, so please don't be afraid to join!

For those that have never played Valorant, is it very similar to CSGO in the sense that it is a 5v5 with economy and plant sites. You choose a character before hand that has special abilites that you can purchase! It is free-to-play so feel free to try it out and if it is not something you are interested in, no worries.

As of right now, I am just looking for a head count. If more people decide they would be interested, I will make an official discussion thread and start dealing with dates/set-up.

Please try to stop with the shit-posting.
Thank you!

Finally, after weeks of preparation, the teams are in, and the bracket is decided! One week from Today, at 1PM EST! 3 rounds, single elimination, best 2/3 short games. SwiftBadger and I will both be streaming on Twitch from within the team voice channels, and one of a few people will be streaming to everyone in the Dinks Discord server.

I'll do a dry run of the stream the morning of, and we'll handle map bans at 1PM that day. All teams, please elect a team captain, for easier communication with that process, and good luck teams!

Hi yes hello, I have taken over the CS:GO Tournament. Most things are remaining the same, probably all things. I might tweak a bit, but I'll keep it up to a discussion among the people participating. I have reached out to almost everyone to see if the current list is up to date, and we'll go from there. As it stands, I think we stand to need another 9 people to have a perfect bracket, so if you guys want to spread the word around to people you know that may be interested but aren't into the forums, that would be great.

Date: 12/10/2022

Rough start time: around 1-3, I'd say, at current we're doing about 7 long games, this could last until pretty late still, depending, but I imagine it'll end around 7-9 at that pace.

Where: In Dink's discord. There will be two team chats. I've not decided exactly on how we want to do the spectator chats, as there are various things to consider. We could do one thing for all the spectators, with one or two people streaming, and have it town hall style where people have to raise their hand to speak, but that would be cumbersome and take the banter and fun out of it. We could shove 30 people into a call and try to do it that way, but that seems to break streams at times, and has the potential to make it hard to hear. We could split it into two rooms of spectators, but then that might decrease the enjoyment some people get if they can't watch with their friends. Input would be nice here, since it's likely going to be bigger than both OW2 and Multiversus in terms of amount of people and what all we want to achieve with it. Another idea I had was streaming from twitch and someone streaming that in the discord for at least my team's games, so we can get the team chats in as well, but there's obvious issues with that too.

Map rotation: I think each round I want to do a wheel system. Each team gets to ban one map (predetermined, so there may be overlap) and choose one map to show up twice on the wheel, as their preferred map. If preferred map is picked by both teams, it shows up 3 times. If a map is 'banned' by a team, but it's the preferred of the other team, it shows up once still.
The rotation is as follows:
-Dust 2
-Nuke
-Cache
-Mirage
-Inferno

Picking Teams: Everyone on the original post, aside from a few I know are participating, should have gotten a message from me asking if they are participating. If you did not, please reach out. If you later decide you need to back out, please reach out. I'm definitely accepting more people, as well. I haven't fully decided exactly on how teams are decided. I honestly might just let people prepick, and sprinkle in extras around the prepicks. I also entertained the idea of letting everyone have a prepicked team of 3, and then doing a sort of captain thing after that, as some people won't have any desire to play with people they're not already comfortable playing with, so there needs to be some give here. I even think doing full team captains won't be entirely fair, so I think I'm going for a more fun way. Taking suggestions here too.

Prizes: Nothing as of yet, but I've reached out to admins of each server and Jammin about potential prizes, so I'll update this later if there is anything to update

tldr tournament pls join i want 40 people and a few alternates who will definitely be there

What's up everyone!! Icey and I have been talking about wanting to do another tournament since the MultiVersus tournament we did a few months ago! So here it is! I am wanting to put on an OW2 tourney. Here is the breakdown as of right now. We may do some tweaks if I get some feedback that makes sense.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME AT ANY SKILL LEVEL!

How teams will be determined:
We will divide everyone who signs up into teams of 5. We will do this by randomly selecting 5 people for one team and then 5 people for the next team. This way we are not stacking a team full of sweats who have played a ton together. Also maybe we can get two temp discord voice chat rooms for the two teams to communicate with each other or we can have players stay in the same room and either deafen themselves so that way if they wanna have their webcams on we can see the concentration on their faces and the anger.
Also if we reach an odd number of players we will figure out a way to have people fill in for the "odd" team.

Number of rounds:
We will do best 2 out of 3 to keep it as quick as possible. Also the game mode and map will be randomized.

How to watch?
We will have someone be in the spec slot of a custom game and stream it to the discord to have everyone whos wanting to watch can watch the action.

Date and Time (tentative): November 12th at 4pm CST

So whos in?

ALSOOOOOO THE PRIZE WILL BE 5 CRATES OF DUMB GARBAGE PER TEAM MEMBER OF THE WINNING TEAM!

(also check back because things may change if new ideas are thrown out)
