The purpose of the Discord Team is to moderate the discord server fairly and properly, in order to make it an enjoyable and productive environment for the Dinkleberg's GMod community. Team members are given access to various roles and are given various responsibilities in service to the community. The Discord Team includes long-term staff moderator positions, such as Discord Helper and Discord Moderator, and non-staff recreational positions, such as Event Coordinator and Event Council Member.



Discord Helper:

The role of discord helper is an official staff position within the Dinkleberg’s Gmod discord staff team in a long-term capacity. Their tasks are as follows:

• Abide by all discord server rules and serve as a good example
  
• Promote and partake in community discussion
  
• Handle questions and tickets
  
• Assist in moderation by issuing warnings and timing users out as needed
  
• Assist moderators by reporting more severe infractions
  
• Participate in discussion and vote on discord staff applications and appeals
  
• Maintain a fun atmosphere
  
• Be responsive to emergency On-Call Staff pings
  
• Read, agree to, and follow Moderation Guidelines and Staff Expectations
  
• Participate in relevant votes and discussions within the staff discord server
  

Discord Moderator:

The role of discord moderator is an official staff position within the Dinkleberg’s GMod discord staff team in a long-term capacity. Their tasks are as follows:

• All roles and responsibilities that fall under Discord Moderator
  
• Officially moderate the discord server and issue mutes, kicks, and/or bans as necessary
  
• Handle report tickets and take appropriate action
  
• Handle role change requests for GMod roles and donor roles
  
• Moderate events for event coordinator and assist as needed with event operations
  
• Assist with the training of junior staff member and ensure their integration into the staff team goes well
  

Discord Administrator:

The role of discord moderator is an official staff position within the Dinkleberg’s GMod discord staff team in a long-term capacity. Their tasks are as follows:

• All roles and responsibilities that fall under Discord Moderator
  
• Serve on the Community Admin team and take part in discussions about community issues
  
• Moderate discord staff discussions on appeals and promotions
  
• Assist server staff with server-specific discord interactions in the main discord, especially with role additions and server relay channels
  
• Manage the discord staff team and handle disciplinary issues and relevant abuse reports
  
• Give regular feedback to discord staff team
  
• Provide additional training for discord moderators
  
• Manage server bots and discord updates
  
• Ensure server policies continue to align with discord TOS and community guidelines
  
• Oversee discord section of forums, and moderate the rest of forums as requested/permitted by Forum admin
  
• Note: Discord admins are generally appointed by Dink upon recommendation of the Admin team. If you are interested, you should discuss your interest with a community admin.

The role of discord event coordinator is a non-staff position, serving the community in a short-term capacity outside of the scope of the Dinkleberg’s GMod discord staff team. Their tasks are as follows:

• Create various discord events, tournaments, and contests
  
• Coordinate the registration, operation, and follow-up of the event
  
• Coordinate with assigned Discord Moderator for channel and role assistance
  
• Note: You do not need to be an Event Council Member or Discord Staff Member to become an Event Coordinator
  

Discord Event Council Member:

The role of discord event council member is a non-staff position on the Discord Team, serving the community in a long-term capacity outside of the scope of the Dinkleberg’s GMod discord staff team. Their tasks are as follows:

• Participate in the Event Council channel
  
• Discuss and plan events within the discord, giving feedback/input on various events
  
• Regularly apply for Event Coordinator for events
  
• Recommended to be an Event Coordinator at least once a year to be considered active
