So if anyone knows how to help with this, that would be wonderful.
I have recently had to take some screenshots, and they are really low quality.
I used the steam image-capture, and I wanted to know if there is some setting or way to get around this super low quality.
And before anyone asks, the screenshot key on my computer does not work (something I attribute to the fact that it is a 7 year old computer that was upgraded to windows 10).
just get a new computer dud
i dont think you could avoid the low quality, rather i recommend using another screen capture system like sharex and rebind it to whatever key you use to take screenshots.

thats how capitalism works.
Looking at your steam profile they look fine to me
Yeah, usually it's only noticeable when highlighting damagelogs. But even then, it's still somewhat legible at times. If you're still concerned about logs being blurry, what I usually do is highlight the logs outside of what needs to be screenshotted. So 1 line above, and 1 line below.

Alternatively if you're looking for screencapping software, gyazo is pretty solid.
built in windows capture is pretty good (win+shift+s)
Some handy console commands:
jpeg_quality <1-100, default 90> sets the JPEG quality of screenshot taken with the jpeg command
jpeg takes a screenshot, bind it to a key
Screenshots are placed in the screenshot folder in the gmod directory
