My only problem with this is the die hard grudges and overly biased friendships. This will lead to one group having all the power. Because instead of earning it through trust, dedication and morals. Friends will just voted each other in and kept the train going with more people who will back what they say right or wrong. It's like feeding with a duo in league of legends; you feel like it's everyone else's fault because your duo is willing to blame other's with you. Then at the end of the day you both report you entire team, despite being 0-20 and 1-10.

How ever if there's a system in place to keep this a fair an honest election/sponsor process; it could be a good idea to help those who really deserve the title of staff skip the run around and get to helping the server be better quicker.

Getting any sort of rank that is given responsibility should only be based on merit, bad idea friend.
