I literally had this moment like... a few months ago. I broke it off with my boyfriend of two years, and he was extremely abusive (not physically, thank gosh). I just kept remembering how good it used to be and how happy I was with him. I kept asking myself this very question over and over again.

Luckily, I'm happier now. I made the right choice. But I still wonder what happened.
