For me, RC-XD, or the poison dart gun for traitors. 

For the detective, it's literally most of the equipment.

Poison dart gun and flare gun combo power are supreme

Detective shield gun is so good

shield gun acts as a solid unmoveable wall on moving platforms. Just use it there and you can instantly crush people.

Detective has to be binoculars. It is the lowest value form.

For traitors, most of them are good, but the worst is probably spring mine.

Id argue spring mine for t's is the worst, very visible trap, makes a server noise warning others to watch for it, and does same fall damage that homerun bat does for 3 players.
RC-XD is situationally useful, but you gotta hide well before using it.
Binoculars are useless also, would be better if D's had multiple uses from them

I agree spring mine doo doo but it is really funny to hear it go off. Even if you don't do damage with it sometimes I pick it up with the magneto stick and walk to someone just to hear the noise.

I love the poison dart gun since the mute function can be an easy way to kill the more talkative players. :P

I think the most useless T equipmenrt is probably the RSB. Since I can't see to figure out how to use the thing without just blowing myself up.
