Has the hitreg felt noticeably different in the past month or so?

There have been several instances I have recorded where I have shot someone and have seen the particle effect around them indicating a shot, but there was do damage dealt.
I've lost the recordings due to me neglecting to save them but I can be on the lookout for such instances going forward.

Last time I can recall a bad hitreg issue was with TDawg one time, not sure if it's an issue related to his skin which is Lara Croft iirc.

that's always happened, unless it's happening more frequently than before

It has been happening to me a lot as well, I don't think its an issue with the skin
