I think some continued presence would go far for this. Like you'd talked about in vc the other day, you wanted to get some more time in and roots down. I'd focus on that, maybe throw a few events without the role, get some footing, get some forums presence (2 day old account with few posts), as forums are a big part of solidly planning out events in my experience (though declining, unfortunately). When you're throwing something prior to having the role, having a discord staff person ping the events role on your behalf is always solid.
That all being said, I'm going to do a thing I hate and +0 this as I don't think any of this is purely disqualifying, as what people think for this role is more important than anything, and I legally have to throw a plus or minus something out there or I'll have to delete my own post and warn myself which is too much admin 0/10
