Hey, I was wondering if I'm the only one who would love to have the Homing Pigeon as a T-weapon

Do you have a workshop link to this one? It sounds interesting

It has been added  Cool
Went through the workshop page on the previous versions of this mod to see how it's supposed to work - what is the counter to this? Seems like a lot of fun, but fairly unbalanced. Seems like an instakill of whoever you manage to lock on, and no way to counter it. Our current instakills (trident, thrown knife, various bombs) have the counter of dodging the attack or throwing away the banana bomb.

+/- 0, look forward to more discussion here before I finalize how I feel about it
Haven't actually seen it in practice, but gonna throw my two cents in for it.

I think the fundamental concept of it is neat, but it seems a bit strong. A "throw and forget about it" homing bomb that insta-kills anyone it hits in a radius is quite strong. Closest thing I can relate to it are the trident, which is a single target insta-kill but requires it to be aimed, and the RC car, which is easy to hear as well as is quite buggy for a similar end result. I think if it were added it'd definitely need to be tuned down a bit to be more on-par with other T items, which seems easy enough to do from the item settings.

+1 overall, with changes I mentioned

It's active on another server I hop on to when dink is empty. The thing is, it does explode on impact. If player moves behin an obstacle, if the sender stands to close to an obstacle or a random person goes in the crossfire it takes out that person instead.
It's pretty slow so if you hear the pigeon you have some time to take cover.
Other T's usually don't take it well when they happen to be in the crossfire  Rolleyes
And its perfect if many innos happens to be really close to each other

I have it on my server and its a pretty fun add-on! ^^ I recommend it, actually quite balanced and a 1 shot!

As a fun bonus I never got lua errors from it which I know is a big issue with lots of gmod add-ons.

You addressed my points, didn't realize it would blow up on contact with obstacles as well as players. Switching this to a +1, I like it.
Was this item ever actually on the server or was it only ever on test? I remember even nicol talking about this mf bird and tried using the zelda bird bombs (chu-chus?) as a substitute but they were also bad as I remember.

I have no idea about that, but I am sure it is possible that this has been tested. An admin might be able to answer that.
I see the author of it has been active recently, so things seems to be fixed as issues appear
