I have a few year old Dell Inspiron, but only God knows the horrors that its been through. I'm thinking about buying a Macbook Air or Pro because people I know have said that they're good for taking notes. I'm not really looking to be able to game, I want something that's good for multiple tabs for research, notetaking, etc.
Any suggestions would be nice. I don't really have a budget, but nothing too too crazy of course.
The best budget laptop that isn't gonna be fore gaming would def. be a chromebook imo
If you doing CS or something related, or need those MacBook specific tools get a MacBook. For anything else I’d get a Dell XPS 13 or 15, I’ve had great success with these.
Gimme a budget and I'll do some research for you
MacBook if ur rich like me

$1,200 is the max. I appreciate it
Shit you can get a high end laptop for that if you play your cards right.
Lol, for $1.200 you could get a really decent laptop. I paid €1.300 for mine and I’m still playing on it for 7 years already. I’d go with Asus if you looking for a brand. Ofcourse the best value for money you will get is if you order a laptop that is being built for you. (Atleast this is how it works where I’m from.)
I mean it depends on your major and what you would need it for. If it's just basic note taking then basically anything will do with a decent battery. Now, you may want something that can take video for a project or take somewhat decent pictures or screenshots as well. Probably something that can run decently with multiple tabs and items open would be decent as well.
