So I got cast in my college play, I don't know yet what part I have but I know I am in the play for sure. This will be my first play ever and I was wondering if anyone had an advice for me, whether it be about getting over stage fright or memorizing lines or acting tips.
I wasn't in drama but I was in marching band, and really just try to treat the real thing like a rehearsal runthrough and tune out the audience the best you can

Ok I'll just do it!
tip: recite the lines every once in a while, how it sounds in your head is a lot different compared to how it will sound verbally.
dont want you sounding like you're dead inside, i mean, everyone is, but if you're gonna be in a play, any sense of passion will get anyone slightly into it.
clear pronounciation, and the confidence to actually put words out makes anyone a good actor/actress/apache helicopter.
