NEW MAPS - Sailboat495 - 11-10-2025

I have some suggestions for some great maps that we can add to the server

we played this on the last server I was on before dinks and it was a lot of fun.

pros:
  • nostalgia
  • aesthetically pleasing
  • varied gameplay
  • multi level
cons:
  • rooms are fairly compact

not a new map, but this was replaced by ttt_cipher which I think is like 10x worse. I have no idea why we did this. it happened in the 2 years that I didn't play on this server (the darkest 2 years this server has ever known)

this map is pure kino. I have no idea why it was ever removed. it was played often and everyone I know said it was super fun.

pros:
  • multi level
  • varied gameplay, you can try hard, you can walk around, you can buy a grapple and fly, you can troll
  • not laggy and doesn't promote c4 spamming
cons:
  • none. I guess the blind might fall down some of the holes peppered into the map.

pros:
  • fun, varied gameplay

  • it mildly runs like shit in terms of fps

this map was also pure kino, no idea why it was ever removed. like escher, it was played often, everybody loved it, and it had no downsides.

super old map, I think I played this when I was a kid myself like over 15 years ago, remember it being a lot of fun though



REMOVE LIST:

ttt_mythic (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2301715175) - it's bad, it's dark, nobody plays it, nobody likes to play it, and on the few chances that it wins, it totally kills the server
ttt_cipher (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=909728557) - it's bad, and it's supposed to be the successor to ttt_chaser but it's just way worse. if we add back chaser, we should kill this map
ttt_complex (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=512506068) - it's bad, it's kind of a maze, there are a lot of random traps (both t traps and part of the maps), I don't know anyone that enjoys it

ttt_escher +1 this map was goated
ttt_facility +1 great map for low pop
ttt_chaser +1 map was great and cipher is just worse

ttt_lumbridge +0 I might actually make an edited version of this cause its definitely nostalgic but current version is kinda lame tbh
ttt_desert +0 meh. if added we should remove the T trap that gives you 3 credits on a 60 second cooldown lol

ttt_hydropower -1/+0 iirc had bad lag/framerate issues will have to see

Remove List:
ttt_minecraft_mythic please remove mythic please please please
ttt_cipher remove if we add chaser
ttt_complex tbh this is a meme map and its outstayed its welcome

personally I would remove mc_dolls and rat's kitchen because we have way too many rats maps at the moment including literally two dolls

ttt_escher No opinion/Not familiar
ttt_facility +1 I love this map, though it is a bit tight for full servers. Also this map brings out all the crybabies when someone dares set more than 1 C4 up.
ttt_chaser +1, good map, not familiar with the sequel
ttt_lumbridge +1 no explanation needed
ttt_desert No opinion/Not familiar
ttt_hydropower -1 Server is hanging by a thread as it is, I see this causing massive lag issues.
mc_innomotel Neutral, I don't like two versions of the same map (see: mc dolls and stupid dolls that should be removed). But I don' think removing inno motel is in any way viable as it is one of the most popular maps we have.

Remove List:
ttt_minecraft_mythic: Neutral removing it, I like playing on it, but it is too large for smaller servers
ttt_cipher: No opinion
ttt_complex: No opinion

I’m a sucker for complex’s pick-a-path room though; I’ve had so many stupid but funny moments there


I’m down with at least making these changes:

+facility
+ chaser

- cipher
- mcmythic
- mc dolls
- complex (?)
- rats kitchen (maybe)

Anyone have issues with that? We can keep talking about the other maps


On a related note, does anyone even like ttt_mall?

dolls sucks ass. any version.

airbus is a great map and way better than dolls and if you don't like playing it with high pop i have great news for you about the state of this game and this server

as for complex and the traps you guys just hate games with mechanics or fun or any kind of surprise. if you want to play a game where you can't die buy a nintendo. all this hate on t traps and rdm and anything besides walking around for 5 minutes just turns the game into a more boring version of sandbox. obviously this is a much larger conversation than this specific map but what even is the point of playing a shooter if you want to make it so you can't ever die except under the provisions outlined by section 51, subsection 12, heading A, paragraph C of the motd? just go live in california atp. this applies to removing maps with interesting mechanics, it applies to removing maps with T traps that aren't super incredibly obvious, and it applies to the 2000-word MOTD that everyone has to memorize top to bottom to play this game. ttt players are deathly allergic to having fun.
