Here are some maps I thought might be worth taking a look at.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1796814161&searchtext=Western
A toonish version of a western map. Not a lot of props or anything on this map but performance shouldn’t be bad.

This map could also be considered toonish. It’s a canyon map but with a heatwave. File size is big at above 30 mb, however It still shouldn’t affect that much in terms of performance unless the heatwave feature on the map can cause it with many players but I don’t for sure.

I remember playing this map on another server I think. I liked the map if I recall and don’t think I had any major FPS drops while playing.

A gold mine map. There is even a minecart that you can ride on. It doesn’t go too fast though I think.

I don’t think any of these maps are too small but if they are sorry about that. Hopefully these can get considered if they aren’t too small and don’t cause any problems. If you also noticed they are mostly western theme because I’m trying to find a good western map that the server can have. Most of these maps file size are small too except the canyon one. The gold rush and leetwood map might require css but I’ll have to double check.

The year is 1999. You just got back from watching Toy Story 2. "I'm gonna be Buzz Lightyear for Halloween, next year!" you thought to your little bitch ass kid self. You pestered your parents into taking you to Toys "R" Us, hoping to get some sweet action figure. Little did you know that the movie didn't end at the theater; there was a whole ass video game released just a short time after! You got it for your PlayStation 1 video gaming console, and holy shit... this was one of the few GOOD licensed games out there! In fact, it wasn't just good; this game was a bop-and-a-half.

This was a 3D platformer that carried you through many of the movie's important setpieces. You had Andy's house, the neighborhood backyard, a random construction site, Pedophile Al's penthouse. You even had a not-properly-scaled airport! You could even shoot that dumb bitch Jessie.

The gameplay was pretty tight and right out of what you would imagine the lives of toys would be like, even though this genre was still in its infancy. I can't think of any other game that captured the same vibe that emanated from this gem. The only thing that comes comparatively close has been Rats-style maps from various FPS games, primarily those made for Valve games.

However, in 2019, some crazy motherfucking German dude spent way too much time going from THIS:

Yeah, you are seeing that first image correctly: he even added the gamer goo that was originally present in the PS1 game.

It is difficult to showcase how much work went into the map without playing it. The creator added SO much extra shit that was not present in neither the PS1 game nor the movie. These additions, however, make this map for Garry's Mod feel like Toy Story 2 did to Toy Story 1: a massive improvement. The gameplay flow, the high quality textures, the optimization, the secrets... everything melds together to form one of the BEST custom maps in a Source game out there. If this was the first Rats map, that genre of maps would be called "Toy Barns". This man included a STORE ANNOUNCER, in spite his questionable voice work. This map fucks.

Special features:
  • Anti exploits/stuck.
  • Custom textures.
  • Secret with guns.
  • Save landing pillow.
  • CCTV System.
  • Teleports (with sound and effects).
  • Collectibles.
  • 5 Traps.
  • Tester.
  • Voice Acting.
  • Working Caddy, with 4seats.
  • 64+ spawn points.
  • Parkour friendly.
  • Ok optimization.
  • Many small details,
  • And more..

The only issue with adding this map is that it will make every other Rats map suck dick by comparison. That's supposed to reserved for the gamer girls (and KaptainLes)! As a community, we can move past that.

RE: [TTT] Map Suggestions - Nicol Bolas - 10-04-2020

I've looked at the toystory map, and it is on the test server. Unfortunately the large file size is an issue as it's considerably larger than basically all maps besides clue

RE: [TTT] Map Suggestions - Loon - 10-05-2020

Nicol said that it got removed due to server crashes, however someone else said the crashes might of had something to do with the thermal vision for the the crashes too. I don’t know if that is true though. Might have to ask Nicol about it cus if it was the thermal vision then the map might be able to be added back, but still up to Nicol on that.

Diamond Shoals! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=840981569

Classic ZS map that was converted to TTT around 10 or so years ago for a long dead server. Bit large but not as many places to hide as some of the other large maps we have, so that should help a bit. Could use more ammo, but it's a classic map.

TTT_Equilibre is also a neat map. Large again, but fairly wide open. Only problem is a near lack of ammo, but if there's interest I can add it and fix one or two bugs on the map at the same time. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=284614653
