Um. Niy is basically hiy I think. Hiy literally got banned from prop hunt today for hacking according to
gbans.So that might be interesting to know.

So when this happened, staff was pinged and informed of possible ghosting between the two players. That's where the accusations started.
Jedasis was online but at the time didn't have his in-game role, as he just joined the staff team.
I assisted by viewing the logs and advising Jedasis to take note of the logs, without really giving him much more than that. Frankly its more my fault than his since he was asking me for help.
What I was looking for in the logs was for the two players to continuously and magically start shooting the traitor after the other was dead. This is one way to suss out ghosting.
However, I don't think this is a case of ghosting, after what Kiwi and Jesse revealed.
So after looking this over again, and given the information that Hly was hacking in PH, I think it is safe to assume that:
1. Hly was likely hacking using some kind of role identifier & locator, as they apparently did this in PH
2. Helloman may or may not have done a single accidental/misjudged RDM (or was just a really smart innocent) on a traitor at the exact same time, something we all do from time to time. The timing on this likely made other players suspect ghosting.
I did do a "friends" check at the time of the incident and can verify that they were not steam friends at the time of the incident. It is likely that the two do not know each other and that helloman is uninvolved in Hly's hacking.
The fact that he joined the forums to defend his name speaks volumes. I would recommend that we drop anything further on helloman, as he is guilty of nothing more than maybe a stray RDM (somthing I did twice that night myself).
As for Hly, I think the first log posted does show they knew the traitor in advanced, though we would want to check the full logset to ensure they had consistent evidence before banning for hacking. I will try to go on later and do that when the server's not busy.
