Staff Application Formats, Requirements, and Rules - Ryan - 02-16-2025 TTT Staff Applications
Requirements
These are general requirements we look for. We are looking for staff who are active, professional, and friendly. The admin team will be looking for these below points among other things, including attitude, previous bans, or other issues that might bar them from staffing. We have a high standard that we need to keep consistent. Trusted - entry level staff position. The majority of this job will consist of handling rdm reports and chat spam.
TMod - intermediate level staff position. This rank gains commands to help gameplay related issues, along with previous responsibilities.
Moderator - High-level staff position. This rank gains access to additional commands, foremost being the ability to ban. This position is responsible for handling ban requests and in-game bans, along with previous responsibilities. The rank is also a senior position.
Admin- Executive-level staff position. This rank gains access to additional commands, foremost being the ability to ip-ban and adjust content within Pointshop 2. This position is responsible for handling staff applications, in-game bans, community bans, donor abuse threads, unban requests, server development along with previous responsibilities.
Admin Application Status: Open Application Formats
Use the provided format and make a new thread with it in this subforum. The community will then post their opinions of your rise through the ranks. When you post your application you may want to try and inform any current staff members you know, as their posted opinions of you will help your application. Upper staff will then deliberate and determine if your application is approved. You will be informed of when you are approved or why you were denied. Submit only one application for the next applicable rank, as only one will be considered. Carefully read this page and write the application as accurately as possible the first time. Major edits may confuse the admins and members commenting. The application will be reviewed by the TTT admins and a response will close the thread. Applicants will wait one month between applications regardless of acceptance or denial. Trusted

What is restricting you from accomplishing this as a Mod?: How can you help the community beyond TTT as an Admin?: What made you decide to apply?: Anything else you would like to add?: Rules for Posting on Apps The intent of allowing all members of the community to comment with +1s and -1s on staff apps has been to take into consideration the thoughts of everyone in the community. However we've been finding that many people aren't really adding to the conversation. We don't just think it's important to know if you support someone's application, but why you do. We would like to heavily encourage you to include both positive and negative experiences with the applicant so we can get a full picture. As such comments in staff apps will now be required to contribute something meaningful, and not just be "+1" or "+1 because they are cool". Comments not adhering to this will be removed. Additionally we've noticed a number of people afraid of backlash from posting negative experiences. Please remember you can message any of the admins or mods you feel comfortable with separate from the posts here and your opinion will still be taken into consideration. Demotion Minor Minor issues will typically result in a warning and admins keeping track of the issue. - Habitually rule breaking - Misleading new players - Shitposting forums or discord - Going afk for significant time periods and/or continuous afk - Misuse use of powers Moderate Moderate issues will result in at minimum a staff strike and overview from the admins. A member who has a recent moderate breach may not be eligible for promotion. Admins may also discuss a rank demotion if the staff member repeats offenses. - Minor issues that continue after warning(s) and/or arguing the issues - Receiving a legitimate ban - Actively trolling or flaming situations instead of solving them as a staff member. - Indirect racism or use of terms - Abuse of powers Major Major issues will result in admins discussing a rank or full demotion. The member is not eligible for promotion. - Moderate issues that continue after warning(s) and/or arguing the issues - Directed Racism and/or Harassment towards specific staff or players - Serious abuse of power such as mass kicking or banning of players or other abuse that would result in instant demotion - Receiving a legitimate permanent ban - Refusal to staff/neglect of duty. This does not include inactivity or AFKing on server; this clause is for staff members who actively try to break rules or refuse to act as a staff member. - Leaking staff chat |
