Good news, you can get it to work with Xpadder.
Basically Xpadder emulates pressing keyboard keys, moving the mouse, etc. when you perform respective controls on the gamepad.

If you don't... it's on some other websites for free..

My friend is going through this struggle rn as he just started getting into Gmod (He's usually an Xbox gamer) and those GIFs are how I feel after he struggles to map controls to his controller for an hour haha.
