I. Introduction
On June 13, 2019, investigation 2019-42069 was received reference the death of Deathstar, after being found in his chair unresponsive. Medical staff and law enforcement personnel observed signs of starvation on Deathstar, including very little body mass, many areas of bones showing in the skin. At the time of the incident Deathstar was in the care of Nuru while playing a game of Prop Hunt. The medical examiner determined the cause of death was due to starvation, with the manner being a Homicide.
II. Child Welfare Summary
It is important to note that Nuur's last involvement with the child welfare system in Dinklebergs was 1 day prior to the death incident involving Deathstar. The protective services case was handled by Dinklebergs Child Protective Services. The mother was going to be provided a case plan which included evaluations for child hording with recommendations for recovery. Also of important note, there have been several dozen other reports of child neglect and abuse with the reported suspect being Nuru. It is the recommendation of this board that all other children claimed by Nuru be taken into CPS custody immediately upon a court order.
