Well this is going to be interesting.
Due to several factors we, as a group, have cohesively decided that we no longer want to preside within the Dinkleberg Prop Hunt community.
To begin with the negative vibes among the server, miscommunication, and disagreements have contributed to our decision to depart.
The key to starting all of this is the particular group of people getting together and projecting an awkward as well as discomforting vibe among the player and staff base. Because of this occurrence, many users have felt disconnected from the server and community. It has been particularly difficult to know where we all stand with each other as a result of such dissonance.
Another key factor to our departure are the restraints put on the staff team. The limitations of powers as well as abilities to act out certain tasks have vastly affected our ability to be efficient and effective staff. The fact that it took 2-3 weeks to get a donor demoted alone proves how weak our staff system is. Another example would be a current Moderator was promoted after he was denied by the community twice. Also, when you only have one person who can IP ban on the entire server and sometime he is unable to get on, it makes us easy to target by hackers and DDoSers. We are unhappy with the inaction, and have decided to create our own community.
After working on a new server and working with the ULX menu, we have seen that the staff system could be restructured to the point of where staff can actually punish those who do wrong. It is unfathomable that the entry level staff can only handle chat and teleport people who are under the map. The fact that TTT Moderators have the ability to unban but a PH Moderator doesn’t is strange.
We are told that as a staff that we are all on equal ground and that nobody is above the rest.
We feel that, as of now, this is an inaccurate statement and only see the server going down a dark road. So with all of this said, we’d like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to staff the server and wish you guys luck in the future.
