This item does need to be removed. It's been shown already that I we can't fix it, plus it really just drains the fun out of the game when the detective respawns six times. I mean I respawned six times and killed like 5 traitors. As fun as it is when you're detective to basically live forever, it's not as fun on the other side. I'm sure there are multiple other items that could be added for fun :)

My 100$ donation bribe to remove it has expired (RIP).
Just curious, who ultimately added second chance to the server? It seems like most of the active players want it gone so I don't see why it's even still a thing.
