RE: Update donor guidelines - Gabe - 10-19-2020 Ok Ok since we all know people don't read squat such as motd, guidelines, rules, etc let's just bring back the old idea of shoving the rules into peoples faces when they load in, but this time shove the guidelines in peoples faces instead. This way they cannot complain. I started it. :) But on a serious note, so I don't get in trouble for shitposting, it should be updated to be more detailed like the one ph has. While few might read it, it still serves as a detailed purpose of what is expected of donors and what will happen to them if they don't comply with the rules. Someone could ask Dink to link the guidelines on the store page description of donor when someone is about to buy donor. If they don't read it even though it is easily accessible, then it is their fault. RE: Update donor guidelines - lacer - 10-19-2020 I never thought I would see the day where we are actually considering rewriting the donor guidelines to tell a playerbase of mostly adults that they shouldn't do bad things with their powers RE: Update donor guidelines - Loon - 10-19-2020 These powers should only be used if
I actually think that's pretty strong and clear. If you're being an idiot (i.e. slurs or spamming) and you get gagged by anyone regardless of if it's a donor or not, and you ungag/unmute yourself early - that's not a legitimate reason to use your powers. If you didn't get legitimately gagged/muted, then that wouldn't count no? I feel that if a staff member has a particular line they can point to in the guidelines, it could make for less arguments when enforcing (probably not, but one can hope) My opinion is spelling out a few clarifications couldn't hurt things. I had a situation recently where two players were RDMing every round, and a staff member was online, but was AFK. I didn't want to donor-abuse, so I let them continue until the staff member was moved to spec automatically. At that point I kicked the naughties. I would recommend the following changes be made, to help clarify a donor's role in certain situations
Disciplinary Commands:
[*]These powers should only be used if
[*]!gag - !gag <player name>
[*]!mute - !mute <playername>
[*]!kick- !kick <playername> <reason>
