What have been some challenges you've faced as a Tmod?:
1.  for a while had a little trouble with differentiating between sexual conversation and sexual harassment warnings, but I feel I have gotten better about them, though I still ask for confirmation from another staff before issuing those.
2. When there is a LOT of voices, game sounds, or music going on and I am dead, my brain likes to subconsciously tune out the actual content of what people are saying, likely to prevent further overstimulation. I sometimes need to be mentioned in chat or have an asay message sent in to bring me back into focus, and then I can check my steam recording (I use a 3-4 hour buffer), save what I need, and act accordingly. This is probably my biggest drawback as a staff member, but I’m able to get things sorted out within a couple of rounds.

What have you done well as Tmod?: I feel that I have gotten significantly more confident, quick, and accurate with reports, especially in the past month.

What, in your mind, makes someone a good candidate for Mod? Do you feel that you exemplify these qualities?

Consistent evidence for ban requests, good rule knowledge and therefore accurate report conclusions, good communication with rest of the staff team, and the ability to use staff discretion effectively and within guidelines to punish people who are malicious in their breaking of rules, but be lenient on those who had accidents happen.

Last month I knew I needed to gain better rules knowledge in order to feel more confident in my staffing, but I feel I’ve gotten a lot better since. The other stuff I’ve always been fine on :)

Did you fill out the required scenario questions for rank you are applying for?: Of course

Other: I would love to be able to handle ban requests, as well as to be able to do bans myself rather than having to karma ban minges and worry about a mod having to wait for the ban to expire before they can do it. This is my main motivation.

+1 Holy canoli. One of the best human beings I ever met that could bless Dinkleberg's with staffing. Super sweet, fast acting, and also has a good balance between action and speech. These are qualities I look for in people who run for staff.
