Over the past few months I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about where I’m at with TTT, gaming communities in general, and honestly just time management as a whole. When I first joined the server I was in a completely different stage of life. I had way more free time, a much more consistent sleep schedule, and I could justify sitting around spectating a round for 20 minutes because someone swore they “definitely saw love4puppys murder that guy."
As time went on though, responsibilities started stacking up. Work got busier, weekends stopped really feeling like weekends, and even hopping on for “just one round” somehow always turned into me staring at the clock at 1:30 AM wondering why I had spent 45 minutes arguing over whether a jihad should count as “self defense.” That said, I genuinely appreciate everybody I’ve met through the community. Some of the funniest moments I’ve had online happened here, and even the dumb arguments about rules or hitreg or whether detective should be allowed to buy certain items became part of the routine in a weird way. It’s one of those servers where you log on intending to relax and instead end up involved in a full courtroom drama because someone claims a microwave explosion was “RDM adjacent at worst.”
Being in a TTT position also gave me a different perspective on things behind the scenes. You start noticing how much time actually goes into handling reports, resolving player issues, trying to stay consistent with rulings, and generally keeping everything from devolving into total chaos. Most people only really see the visible part of it. They don’t see someone spending 25 minutes reading logs because two people disagree about who threw a discombob first.
I think communities like this survive because people are willing to volunteer their time even when it’s occasionally frustrating, and I do respect the people who continue doing that. It’s definitely not always easy balancing fairness, player expectations, and the fact that half the server communicates exclusively through screaming. Unfortunately though, after a recent incident I’ve realized it’s probably best for me to step away from my position moving forward. Earlier today I accidentally purchased donor on the forums instead of points and got myself demoted automatically.
I'm not actually leaving I just want to make somebody move this to shitposting and scare some of you guys. I got demoted so I feel like I gotta "resign." If Dink can give me my inventory points so I can chase melee items I'd appreciate it and I still want a Borderlands skin.
Not going anywhere and excited for where we're going. Good to see a populated server. ChatGPT wrote this whole fuckin thing and I added some details.

I know we had an agreement not to badger you about it but it's funnier when I ignore that.
