What do you all recommend for entry level remote work? I want to put myself in a position where I don't have to travel super far since I live in the middle of no where and also wanna take care of my partner at home.

It depends on your qualifications. If you have no degree, marketable skills or prior work history, you're trying to out compete everyone else in the country looking for an "entry level" remote job. The math is against you there. Even if you are well decorated, you're still competing with an entire country of decorated job applicants instead of a county or city.

That said, for a realistic path forward, you should be looking at spending a couple years getting established at an office job local to you, then seeing if you can pivot into remote work within the same company. Finance, procurement, sales, IT, and other "boring" stuff all typically let you do that.

Don't forget to consider cost of living for your area as well, since you said you live in the middle of nowhere. It's easy to get unrealistic expectations seeing an remote entry level IT helpdesk position open for $80,000k in Los Angeles CA, and think that's what you should be making at a helpdesk job in Dekalb County Indiana, even though $80k in one place is barely enough to pay the light bill and $80k in the other is enough to pay down a 3 bedroom house in 10 years.

Russ nailed this one right on the head. You need specific skills or proof of being reliable that gets you ahead of the herd because there will be hundreds of other applicants for stay at home work that is not miserable. Other than IT work, graphic design for many things could be another option. For example, all those freebie flyers you get in the mail, was printed or designed by someone, somewhere. If you are just starting out, do not expect to be paid well while working from home.

You also mentioned taking care of your partner. I do not know about your partner but if you are talking about in a medical standpoint, I have heard of people getting paid (albeit minimal) to take care of said partner depending on the medical condition, what country you are in, etc. There may also be special groups, government programs, and others that you may be able to look into, once again that depends on where you live, that could assist you financially.

I mean just in general being able to support us living comfortable on a single income, just so if she ends up having to be stay at home for any reason (e.g. we adopting a child), then it won't be a financial burden.

Something worth checking out is Prolific. 

You basically get paid to do studies for universities, colleges, companies, independent researchers etc. 
It's not some random bs like Swagbucks or FreeCash. Prolific actually has a wait list for signing up, conduct identity verification checks, vet their researchers etc. 

You fill out an About You section and receive studies that fit the information you gave them. Most Americans say they make a couple hundred bucks up to a grand or two each month. Im in Europe so i don't get as many studies :( 

I've added a screenshot of some of my recent studies, so you know im not just lying lmao. 
I just keep Prolific open on my second monitor & if something interesting pops up i take it. It basically covers my food expenses every month so it's nothing life changing but still, one less thing to worry about. 

Ofc it's not perfect, there are some issues (especially if you look at their reddit) but i've been using prolific since 2019 and with some common sense you can avoid pretty much all of the bs.
