So it's no secret that quite a few people (myself included) do not like the new hitreg and that it seems to be causing a lot of issues. I've done a little research and I figured out a method to optimize it so that it's a lot closer to the old leyhitreg system. Please see the step by step guide below:

Step 1: Press F1 and locate the multiple settings menus.




Step 2: You want to go to the "Hit Reg" tab. Click it. Then, turn that awful piece of shit off.



Step 3 (bonus!): Turn off the hitmarker sound. It is incredibly annoying.



If you follow these three steps, your gmod experience will improve!

This will disable your shots from using the new hitreg and will instead use Gmod's default hitreg.
