Updated response with extra context given- seeing original warn is 11 months old, dropping to much fewer points or entirely I would still support given the length of time between that and this incident. Seems a little much that close to a year after the original incident a single revenge RDM would be enough to push into multi-day ban range.

murl gets along with 99% of players and is crucial to maintaining a fun atmosphere in current day TTT. remove his exploit warn and unban him. murl isn't a troublemaker and will be fine

+1 for murl to have his warn points removed. He is a fun player and helps staff catch those who break the rules. I was on during the time when ryan banned him, and I can verify that there was a lot of RDM/Revenge RDM happening at that time. Murl admitted to his mistake owning it up, which I can respect, but I do suggest that his warn points be brought down to 4 as Nash suggested

Hello TTT staff -
Just curious, what are the outstanding concerns? I think I've shown that I intend to continue playing here in good faith and not cause any disruptions like this down the road, I'm just interested in the logic behind not granting a warn reduction at minimum - I honestly didn't believe that it required a lengthy review and was sure this would be an easy decision. I know there are probably larger discussions taking place among staff, but for the sake of transparency, can those mods and/or admins that don't feel like I deserve a reduction post their thoughts to the forum? I feel like this is an easier route compared to waiting an awkwardly long time then suddenly having the thread instalocked with a decision not allowing me to respond any further.
I know I'm unbanned here in an hour or so regardless, but I'm genuinely curious what the doubters are thinking. So many people are exonerated from permabans simply because "it happened forever ago" - which proves that you guys are human and don't restrict yourself to the written guidelines (which is a good thing)! What is different here?

The admin team has decided to deny this appeal for warning point expiry because it has still been less than a year since your original warn.
While you haven’t had any major blemishes before or after this warn, we feel that at least a year should pass before considering an appeal.
You did something that could have taken down the server. That is not something to be taken lightly.
As for my personal opinion, I do support you having the points expiring from the warn, just not now. Following the natural progression of warn point expiry, 1 year seems like a good spot to rest when deciding if a valid permanent warn should be appealable (my opinion). I will lock this thread since I dont want to leave it open to become a discussion on policy. If you would like the feedback of individual admins, I would suggest either making another thread to start a discussion on policy, publicly, or reaching out to each admin privately (your choice).
