Warned Off Assumption
#11
D33r, just a heads up I would have preferred to keep a lot of this out of the public eye, but considering you have myself (as well as quite a bit of other staff for that matter) blocked DM wise for what appears to be no apparent reason, keeping it in the DMs isn't an option and thus it's all going here. I apologize if you would have preferred it otherwise, but given that I have literally no way of communicating with you directly, this is how it goes.

You've been a very... difficult, player to deal with as of late to put things bluntly. Constantly feels like almost every time I hop into the server with you, at some point during the day our interactions will devolve into some form of argument regarding the rules and often lead to you becoming abrasive towards myself and other staff in the server. You've also had a very condescending attitude towards staff, not just to myself but to other staff as well. When I try to correct you on the rules (which keep in mind, when I do it's often me literally spelling the rule out word for word) it's often met with you being combative, dismissive or just other general forms of escalation. This is not a singular incident either, as proven by the issues presented by Market as well as the aforementioned TDawg message. I'm really not very sure where this negative behavior is all coming from, but quite frankly it's ridiculous and needs to stop.

There are multiple specific scenarios, but I won't bring in any specifics since they don't directly pertain to the subject of this appeal (but if you want I'd be glad to share the ones I've personally experienced should you ask). The reason I'm bringing all this up the here is to point out that this is not an isolated incident of you being difficult towards staff.  Speaking on this scenario specifically, there are multiple things to unpack:

1. I'd first like to mention that it's completely reasonable that Market wasn't going to ask you about the context of the queue. You can't tell him that you don't want to talk, then get surprised when he doesn't talk to you about him being upset about a queue you made. In addition, regarding your comments about "me being silent wasn't an invitation to keep messaging me through the map" and "my point is that I shouldn't have to say anything", these are VERY ridiculous statements. Silence is not in of itself an invitation for communication, but is not inherently a restriction of communication. If you don't want to communicate with Market after him reaching out to you, then you act like an adult and say: "Hey Market. I'm not really in the mood to talk right now". Market is not a psychic (Wait, is he? WHAT ELSE HAVE YOU BEEN HIDING FROM ME MARKET?!), he doesn't know if you happen to not feel like communicating that day. You DO have to say something, because that's how basic adult conversation works. He apologized though, and did in fact keep true to his word that he wouldn't talk to you anymore that day. You can't say that you don't want to talk and then expect him to reach out, that's not how that works.

2. This is not just solely about the queue; the queue name was just the final nail in the coffin. The flaming warn is a combination of your previous difficult behavior (as mentioned by Ryan's quote of "Pursuent to the DM you received from Tdawg", as well as your previous message from Tdawg), the unwelcome sarcastic remarks mentioned by Market, and finally with a queue name that myself (we will get to that btw) as well as other staff deemed as over the line. Speaking of which...

3. I'm not sure I 100% sure I buy your whole explanation for the context of the queue name. I will say that I'm only a 3rd party reading into the situation, but it really seems like you have to jump through multiple hoops of thought to even make sense of the joke? I mean considering that Market (who was in the server the entire time, but was also the target of said joke) didn't even understand your stated context means that it was not obvious at all. Even after hearing your version of the context, I'm really not even sure I 100% buy it. You RDM out of "annoyance with his actions", all for Market wanting to have a friendly conversation/interaction maps ago (which can I point out how dumb that is?), then try to make a queue with him as the butt of the joke and think he's in on it? In what universe does that even make any sort of sense? Not buying it d33r. Sorry, not sorry.

I also want to make a point about this appeal in general. You made a joke, and even after understanding that Market was not a fan of the joke, you haven't shown at least ONE bit of remorse. I don't see a "sorry Market, I wasn't trying to insult you with the queue name". A bit of remorse would go a long way in my eyes, but instead your comment of "Please start double checking your warns this is becoming goofy" really just maintains your previous condescending attitude towards staff in general. You aren't the least bit bothered that your comments have clearly bothered/upset Market, who quite frankly was just trying to be nothing but friendly to you. This is just you arguing that it's a bullshit warn, no remorse in sight.

If I were you, I wouldn't think of this warn as just you being warned for the queue (even though that is the case, and is a fair warn IMO). Instead, think of it as a warn for all of your previous flaming behavior which up until this point has been forgiven much to my own disagreement. TDawg's message to you was your verbal, and this is your official warn for that behavior. I'm not even gonna -1 this appeal; I'm gonna -2 it. I might just bring it down to a -1 or even a 0 if you at least showed the slightest amount of remorse towards Market or just for your general actions/behavior in general, but based on your comments I don't believe that is gonna happen.

One more thing D33r. I want to say I genuinely enjoy your presence on the server. When I'm not having to deal with your negative behavior (which might I add has really only become an issue within the last 3-4 weeks), you are genuinely a really fun person to be around. I'm not trying to make this post out to make you seem like the devil incarnate, but rather to highlight the fact that your behavior in regards to how you respond to me and others is not really being tolerated. I want to continue to play and enjoy TTT with you, so I really do hope you learn from this warn.

TLDR: Warn is reasonable, -2 the appeal. Market might be psychic.

Edit: Text size is being screwy.

I prefer its in the public.

Yes I agree with that, I already said I appreciated it when he stopped talking with me. We disagree on the statement of silence though. Yet even if he himself didn't reach out to me to confirm it surprises me that Ryan didn't before issuing the warn or Tdawg because he made that DM. From market I'm only surprised by his reporting of the warn as if I was attacking him when I did not have that intention.

Yeah thats up to you to believe or not, I'm not going to try and tell you you're wrong for your view. I do understand now that he wouldn't have had an idea that I was referencing his death in the round.

Yes I do find the warn wrong because it was based on the assumption I was calling market down a (literal) liar, this usually would entail because of a slay or action he did which is what all of these previous verbal warnings have built up from. I also don't know what sarcastic remark about rands post means, I had misread the wording only noticing when Ryan pointed it out to me. Nothing I said about rands post was sarcastic. The comment at the end also refers to other warns like DickRash where had he not made an appeal the warn most likely never would have been argued but it was agreed the warn was over the top after the appeal. Like how I find this warn was over the top for something I didn't even know was a problem to the person it was referring to.

The only reason I haven't straight apologized to market is because I still think nothing of it. I had no idea he disliked the queue until he replied to this post, and he had no idea of the context of the queue until I made mine. It was one queue name that I'm not going to queue again and I'm happy enough to leave it there. I also was told market considered us friends and I hadn't known we were, I feel that added additional feelings of distrust that I didn't even know were there and I was assuming this was more of an overreaction.

Thats all left I wish to say about this.

This warn appeal has been accepted.

You did serve a ban, and I think you have an pretty good understanding now of how this happened and why you got the response you did.

The main reason is that we believe the underlying reason you gave. It was meant to be a lighthearted joke about something that happened on the server.

The complicating factor is that yeah recently you have been in a lot of fights with various staff members. And that circumstance made it reasonable to take the joke as a personal attack. If you generally speak about the staff team like they are evil demons (not all the time just sometimes), then yeah people are going to take jokes you make as attacks.

The previous verbal warn I sent you still applies. Staff are likely still going to be pretty sensitive. I encourage you to continue to be careful as hopefully interactions between you and staff improve moving forward.

Not required but consider maybe telling Market Down you dont think he is a horrible/evil/liar person.
