You're right. I've been able to appeal several bans successfully, only to get banned again for the same reasons. However, in most, if not all of those cases, I hadn't been as serious or sincere as this time. I would either deflect or coat my responses in layers of irony or sarcasm to downplay my behavior. I would get unbanned, knowing full well that I planned to troll or harass someone again. Whenever confronted, I would deflect and attempt to justify my actions as self-defense, as Cimag said.
I hadn’t thought about needing to change, since I didn’t think there was a need. I would dismiss the idea of me being the problem, instead blaming it on something else. I've changed since then. I’ve recognized the errors of my ways and admit to them. I understand it may not seem like a huge change, but I am still growing and learning. It’s my first time being alive too
