Hey d33r. The admin team has decided to deny this application. I think for staff apps a lot of times people take criticism as the same as being described as a bad person. There is a reason that you had so much support for your dev app. People like having you in the community. There is a difference between dev and staff and I think the comments there compared to some of the comments here show that.
Different roles take different types of people, temperaments, etc. There are a number of players on the server that have tons of time, know the rules, and I enjoy playing with that just wouldn't do well as staff without a change in how they do things. They dont have to change to continue to be a awesome member of the community, but for staff that is something I would want to see.
There are multiple things pointed out among the posts and responses to posts, but I think the most important take away for you is that it is really important (for staff) to be able to turn down the temperature. Some staff do it better than others, but this is a really important part of staffing and I think an area where for you to staff there needs to be improvement. Again you dont have to change, but responding in a way that defuses a situation (even when the other person is in the wrong) is really important for staff.
There do need to be temperature turner uppers in the world (and on the server), but usually that approach just results very poorly in this role.
