All the warns he had that pushed him over the point threshold (which between this ban and the pervious perma ban he successfully appealed , had actual increased in points needed for a perma ban from awarn) were warranted.  His latest ban was mostly caused by repeatedly flaming our staff over temporarily mishandling a report. Which got him a 6 point flaming warn, pushing him over the 32 point threshold.

noted - obviously, I'm not without my bias as I'm friends with Caribou and enjoy playing with him, I just disagree with others in that he has shown he can't be trusted or unbanned. I've been around this server for a long time (admittedly, not as much recently as before, but I'm still getting on and playing), and don't see anything in his behavior that indicates he wouldn't be able to return and play. My experience with him is that he is actually relatively tame and the disconnect between him & others is the threshold for trolling/banter on the server. Some of the things that he would be warned or punished for is definitely things that he could have reported to staff that others were doing to him, but simply didn't register to him as an actual punishable offense because of his different perception of what constitutes as rule breaking (i.e. flaming, harassment, etc) than others. For example, I don't think he's ever been frequently warned (if ever) for something as universal as slurring, cheating, intentional mass rdm, etc, which would support my point.

If it means anything, I'll add that I myself haven't been punished for much of anything on this server - I might have like one or two warns over a 4 year period. I'll talk with Caribou myself and try to align his perspective with the server and make sure that he doesn't go too far in others' POV of things that happen on the server. It's hard to believe, but I really don't see him as someone who explicitly gets on the server in order to agitate others, I think there are moments where he jokes around a little too far but that can be easily reined in.
