i'm ngl it's kind of goofy to see people on here constantly complain about "effort". this is a community for a dying video game. people have stuff to do outside of this. the ttt community is not owed nearly the amount of effort they think.

also some people who appeal clearly are not familiar with writing an essay format ban appeal in the first place, of course they are not going to put much effort into it. Name one other video game you do that in other than maybe a Minecraft server.

it doesn't check into people's brain that a normal thing to do is list everything they did wrong and how they're super sorry even though by the time a ban is 4+ years old this server probably takes up zero mental real estate and they couldn't possibly remember who any of you people are or what they did to get banned. so they post here and get told they're not putting any effort into getting unbanned, then their only option is to sit here and pretend to be sorry for saying shit fart really loud on the microphone when they were 16 years old until the great armchair council of dinkleberg declares them worthy of entry into their kingdom where everyone is racist and micspamming anyway

I agree that some people can take it too far with what they expect from a ban appeal, but also it’s just really not hard to say “hey I would like to play on this server and I unfortunately made some mistakes in the past. I will do better“. It’s just simple etiquette. If Im your neighbor and I stole your packages for a week and then came over for your bbq and said “lemme in your house” you probably wouldnt let me in Vs “hey I’m really sorry for stealing those packages would you mind if I came to the bbq? I can bring rock salad”
