There are plugins that let you edit spawns without having to edit the map that might make this easier.
Would be just a command you run in spec on the map in the different spawn points you want instead of having to decompile the map and change them :)
There are also plugins for gun spawns too!

Just an idea that I used to use for an old server I used to be a tech on with the same complaints. It saved me days of work.
