Hey guys! I wanted to do something special regarding music. During this time of the year all I hear is Christmas tunes and I will have you know it drives me nuts.
So I am making this for people to put down songs and music that they heard through out the year of 2018 that may have significantly impacted their lives.
The rules being that it has to be something that you felt was important to you and really spoke out to you in any type of way. All music is welcome and no judgement here (except if you listen to Country). The time the song came out does not have to be 2018, it can be from any time as long as you heard it this year or if you feel like it was important to you through out the year. Feel free to also add a description of why it was important to you as well!

Description: This holds a lot of weight for me. It may not be what the song is about but what it sounds to me is the greed and despotism our country holds. While our gov here in America sits by making themselves rich our people are out there killing themselves for survival and to run away from hard times. A big part that I place into this is our Opiate Crisis, being that I have been to more funerals than I have ever wanted to this year for friends and family dying to use of drugs. There seems to be no action taken to fix this and as long as it doesn't effect themselves then nothing will change. For me it effects everyone a part of it, blood in the water symbolizing when someone injects drugs into their veins blood is mixed with the water. Peoples families, sons and daughters are dying and so on. Big stuff for me and it is why I put it first.

Description: Good song and a classic, good lyrics. Has some meaning to it but the feel of it all leaves me with a smile.
                                                                                                                                                             




Description: Again I have seen a lot this year, I have made a lot of changes for the better this year and when I heard this driving home from a mentors house I can't tell you how hard I cried. Not usual Shinedown sound but it is a good song and made me happy.

Description: Again kind of like Blood//Water, these songs have a deeper meaning when you think about it. Suffering with bipolar disorder and depression I resonate with these songs and the actions and outcomes in my life because of it.
