So a few things have slightly shaken this up. Initially it was kind of on-hold with TDawg on vacation and a few people just chilling for a bit, then Les stepped down. Since then, there have been a few conversations about whether I continue going for forums or transitioning into trying for Discord instead and after a bit of thinking, I think that's the best bet. That way all of the bases are covered admin-wise, and re-staffing the Discord can be a smoother process, while I also try to push the Discord itself into something more event-oriented like I've been trying to do for awhile.

I think the idea is three-fold. We focus more on events, get a lot of people involved, get big tournaments going on like they used to be. This in turn makes the server more busy, which influences more people to want to be staff, and then we can multiple people doing staffing things instead of just Tief and I. It's been mostly quiet for awhile in the Discord, but the more we plan to actively make it busy, the more attention it requires. I think Kap and Tief have left a pretty good direction on how the Discord is staffed, just like the forums team, we never really argue on how things are done, sometimes just a discussion on how we should handle certain things, but nothing that I could really change in that respect, just build off of, and find like-minded people to enforce all that jazz as needed.

Ultimately, this will also involve learning about Kap's bots, the ins and outs of them at the very least, and probably learn to make my own or at least figure out things we might want.

It's hard to talk about what I want to do when everything is pretty chill currently, so I'll just leave off with this. Next time shit hits the fan, I'll make sure to handle it in a fair way to everyone involved.

I'll finally give a more detailed response here. And no, this is not Chat GPT, I was making essays here long before those days.
When I joined the staff team in 2020, Rand was my trainer. Rand mentored me into the ways of TTT staffing, including a very thorough explanation of what to do in uncertain rdm chains/questionable scenarios. Rand's thoroughness and clear explanation helped me understand these critical scenarios.
Rand has a tempered and reasonable approach to issues. He's not afraid to seek out advice, as I've seen him do on a number of occasions, and his temperment in general is stable and rational.
The issues Rand had a few years back? I think a lot of that was influenced by others - others who are no longer in the community. Those issues are long behind him, and not only do I have no issue with Rand becoming the next discord admin, but I feel he would excel at the position.
Rand, for what it's worth, i'd be happy to walk you through things from the Giselle bot and cosmo bot if you are chosen to be Les's successor.

Kap, for all intents and purposes, was functioning as a head admin/co-owner during both times of extreme community tension along with various administrative duties on the more dead gamemodes. Given that the role is that- this makes it very important- imperative to the community as a whole- that someone can function as a mediator and take the time to make informed decisions. I'm fully confident he can do this, as when it matters he remains levelheaded and insightful.

Of course, Rand can also have fun. His assistance in bringing events back to the Discord have also been great.

I'm not worried about the previous issues at all at this point, it's been a few years and it's very proven that is far behind him. To second Jammin- I think he would quickly flourish in the role if he gets it.
