I thought the 5 year ban was enough of an explanation in it of itself. I wouldn't be a troll like I was, I admit I got out of control and definitely deserved the ban at the time. It was during COVID and I was honestly losing my mind lol, I was probably having manic episodes on the daily in there. Before getting banned, I was a long time player and was spending most of my free time in that server around that time and made a bunch of friends, I can't even remember what my username was back then. Also, there are not many TTT servers around anymore, and I do respect Dink's TTT especially because of how long it's been around, and I really enjoyed playing. If I was unbanned I would just chill out like a regular player, I don't even think the micspam and all that shit is funny anmore anyways

Original ban reason was "trolling, insulting behavior, gag evasion, tons of warnings, constant mic spam - see ban request 10/18/2020" temp banned on 10/18/2020 then extended to a perma on 10/24/2020 due to ban evading.

I'm pretty neutral on this. Yes, close to 5 years is long enough, but I don't like the effort you've put in. So 0+/-

Ngl if I recall right you did some funny shit looking back (still was dumb and annoying as hell at the time but looking back I I chuckle a little now, I think I even recorded it somewhere as evidence way back then) If my memory serves me right you thought someone was either ddosing or dossing you on the server and then started going on a rant and started saying you were gonna sue dinkleberg. Also I think you also did that burger king foot lettuce voice joke bit for a bit which definetly aggravted some people, then I think you evaded, tbh it has been a while but uhh this appeal just uhhhh dont think its gonna cut it since you did ban evade and people here would most likely like more of a reason to unban you other then the fact its been 5 years for this since people want to make sure you are changed. Kinda wish you put more effort into the ban appeal. I even remember talking to you a little bit after the ban and you didnt seem to hold any illwill towards me for even recording you.

(Tbh fill disclosure eitherway I think it wouldnt hurt for them to be unbanned and if its a wrong move they can always be rebanned)

also some people who appeal clearly are not familiar with writing an essay format ban appeal in the first place, of course they are not going to put much effort into it. Name one other video game you do that in other than maybe a Minecraft server.

it doesn't check into people's brain that a normal thing to do is list everything they did wrong and how they're super sorry even though by the time a ban is 4+ years old this server probably takes up zero mental real estate and they couldn't possibly remember who any of you people are or what they did to get banned. so they post here and get told they're not putting any effort into getting unbanned, then their only option is to sit here and pretend to be sorry for saying shit fart really loud on the microphone when they were 16 years old until the great armchair council of dinkleberg declares them worthy of entry into their kingdom where everyone is racist and micspamming anyway

I'm not sure why you think dressing someone down over a low quality forum post is appropriate, especially as a server moderator... dude gets banned for micspam 5 years ago by a completely different mod team, logs into the forums (which he clearly has NO idea how to use... people don't use forums anymore!), and tries to appeal the ban incorrectly. that's all the dude has done at this point.

I agree that some people can take it too far with what they expect from a ban appeal, but also it’s just really not hard to say “hey I would like to play on this server and I unfortunately made some mistakes in the past. I will do better“. It’s just simple etiquette. If Im your neighbor and I stole your packages for a week and then came over for your bbq and said “lemme in your house” you probably wouldnt let me in Vs “hey I’m really sorry for stealing those packages would you mind if I came to the bbq? I can bring rock salad”

this is reasonable in a vacuum but we're talking about a permaban for light trolling and burger king foot lettuce spam

• you (presumably) should know the unban format by now,
  

         AND:

• you can readily check what you are being banned for.
  

• moreover, ban evading is always a permanent punishment.
  

Additionally,

• you didnt do any of the formatting shit. (minor, but go on.)
  
• you don't know why you were banned (and thus can't tell us how you have changed since to stop the offending behavior)
  
• didn't discuss why you should be let back in other than "hurr durr, me hate sit time out :(  "
  

Is that an accurate summary? because based on the nonexistent information you gave to everyone, and the information readily available, I don't really see how letting you back in could be justifiable. at least put a wee bit of effort into the "I've changed" bit.


Since you have provided no defense for yourself other than the stellar "hurr durr me hate time out :(  " defense, would you care on actually elaborating on what's different? 

if you were to be let back in, why wouldn't you engage in the same behavior?

I get what everyone is saying above, and yeah if you dont know how to appeal you dont know. All that is fine. And everything you have stated reasoning wise is great.

However, in all the reasons you are giving for appealing you haven't mentioned that this appeal was made right after you just got temp banned on BasicallyVanilla for the hard r. I think that probably brings some of your motives into question and with that this just doesn't seem that true to me:
