First: Make sure you have the developer console on. (Instructions will be listed below) **DO NOT!!! Put the parentheses (these things () ) with your bind!!!**

1. Press the ~ key on your keyboard to open the console.
2. The basic command to bind is — bind (key of your choosing here)

Afterwards depends on what you are wanting to happen:

Want something to be put in chat?
1. Type — bind (key of your choosing here) "say (message of your choosing here)"
2. Then press Enter
Ex. bind b "say How are ya?"
The console should accept the key you input. Try it out!

What an Act Command instead?
1. Type — bind (key of your choosing here) "act (command of your choosing here)"
2. Then press Enter
Ex. bind b "act laugh"
The console should accept the key input. Try it out!

Wanting to put some binds on your keyboard keypad?
1. Type — bind KP_(name of # of your choosing here) "(either say or act command here)"
2. Press Enter
Ex. bind KP_ins "say Howdy!" OR bind KP_ins "act wave" — These commands would bind them to 0 on the keypad.
The console should accept the key input. Try it!

How to turn on the Developer Console:
1. Go to Options
2. Make sure you are in the Keyboard tab of the options.
3. Click the button that says "Advanced..."
4. Check the message that says "Enable the developer console"

I didn't know exactly where to put it within the forums and I, although it is something good to know, see it as just personal use. I mainly only made this for if someone in Gmod is asking about it and I can just link this to them to settle the discussion instead of it going on and on within game.
