Rule Changes and Staff Guideline Adjustments:

Racism punishment protocol has been altered due to how common it has become online in the past year. The punishments are now similar to TTT's way of handling racism.
New Punishment Protocol:
-Warning 
-Round gag/mute
-24 hour ban
-Permanent ban (suck it @RussEfarmer)


The specific Punishment evasion rule and listen to staff member rule has been removed and has been adjusted into their respectful similar rules and guidelines. Since punishment evasion mainly was for individuals trying to evade their gags/mutes, it has been added to the mic/chat spamming section. Players who punishment evade to try and continue ghosting will be upped to their proper punishment of ghosting. All players who are avoiding ban via alt evading will continue to be indefinitely banned as well.



Players calling out hackers/ghosters in public VCs or chats will now also be corralled as well since calling them out either does nothing, disrupts server gameplay, or makes the ghosters/hackers more difficult to catch if not impossible to catch. Punishments for this will not be severe at this point time.

They will go as follows:
- General Warning (this applies to everyone on the server at the time)
- Round gag/mute
- Map gag/mute

Further punishments for this, since others are ruining gameplay by cheating, seem asinine right now.


Finally, the most important change, staff will be testing out a new punishment system for dealing with ghosters for the next month or so. After about a month, a thread will be put up to see how players and staff think the adjustment has worked before integrating the system into the current guidelines.

The current punishment guidelines for 3rd party ghosting are:
-Forceswap for a whole map
-2 week ban
-Permanent ban

A slight adjustment will be made so that players/staff who report ghosters via ban requests will have more satisfying conclusions and so that staff will not have to babysit ghosters still on the server.

The test method has one simple change:
-24 hour ban
-2 week ban
-Permanent ban

This could lead to more unban requests and such but I hope it leads to more ban requests by users on the server, and staff performance by just being able to temporarily eliminate the problem instead of continually watch out for it. When having to deal with several groups of ghosters, a staff member could become overrun trying to keep the groups in line especially if they are various sizes. I also believe that the staff team members with the ability to ban for 24 hours to handle the issue, even if it is just them popping on for a few seconds just to ban before departing. Ghosting is a daily occurrence in Prop Hunt and we need to show proper response. The ban is 24 hours so that test moderators will also be able to handle the issue instead of having it fall on just the moderators or admin.

This idea is still in the testing phase and is open to feedback. The hope is to deal with the problem right away and have an easier time for staff and players on the server. If the results are positive by the community in the next month, the adjustment will be added, if not, we will revert back to the old system.

This is just a short bulletin to show what has happened since the last bulletin on 3/11 and what is being worked on currently.


First in foremost, PH staff members of the month are Lt. Star for the month of March and MissPauling for the month of April. So congratulations to the both of them for their hard work to the server and community. I would also like to thank the other staff members who have helped out since the new year.

Rank Changes: 
Only a couple took place as Ashley and Here Lies Eggroll's Reputation joined the staff team as Trusted. 


Items that were changed on the server and forums were: 
  1. !hop as well as another security leak, that was used to send inappropriate pictures to individuals on the server, have both been removed.

First we shall start with what isn't broken anymore, the times!!!! Dink has fixed the time plug in, but it does have a problem in where it didn't track your time while it was broken. We do have a fix your time thread where you can post however please be patient with it cause only two people can do it and they have lives to live. The ranks are still sadly broken though. 

We also have some new promotions!!! Possum and Pauling made it to Moderator and Gebriel and Aki have reached T-Mod so congrats to them!! 

Also TheUltraFish came back to Admin cause he just missed us so much he couldn't stay away! 

The staff list was also updated to move the inactive staff into a separate list and made said list visible, may still have changes done to it though.

Y'all know what the big news is sadly. Our glorious leader has put up his hat and left the reigns of admin. He has held the title since June of 2019 which is quite a run honestly considering how that rank can run people down. During that time Fish has tried his best with the server and the community and I believe he did an fantastic job. I know he and I have had some differences but never did I doubt his leadership and I believe many others would say the same. 

The sliver lining is that he hasn't fully left us but things will be different, things will probably take longer and some patience will have to be had for the Moderators. Right now I don't know the exact path forwards for us but we will make it work. 

So as it is the end of the month that also means that there is a new Staff Member of the Month. Now usually it's put for a community vote but with the collective decision of the Moderator team we have chosen TheUltraFish as PH Staff Member of the Month December 2020 in recognition of all of his work he put in over his leadership. 

Other changes to the staff team since our last update is that Kiwi has resigned from Trusted, thank you for your time to the server Kiwi. 

Also special thanks to Prince Nicky for setting up the Staff Member of the Month for us!

The Gmod update has made it difficult to hide in textures, walls and other parts of the map due to how things interact with random item hitboxes in some scenarios. This is especially true with big props with odd hitboxes. You will get pushed out of a spot until your hitbox is no longer in the wall, section of the map, prop, etc.


Ghosting and mic spamming rule has been slightly altered to help with staff seeing malicious or toxic trolling content compared to joking or fun trolling. This is more to help new staff members.


The default map in the case of crashes or server reset has been changed to ph_restaurant from ph_villahouse. Restaurant is smaller, more noticeable, and easier to repopulate. Villahouse is a good map but it is just too big for small populations.


The Spectator code that Russefarmer worked on was tested on the overflow and added to the main server. This prevents non-staff members from joining spectator. It has worked so well that we have removed the spectator sections from the server rules, suggested staff binds,  and staff guidelines. Abusing the unstuck rule and guidelines will also be removed soon. Spamming of the command will be considered spam and getting out of the map or an unkillable location will either be considered an illegal spot or an exploit and will be addressed as such by staff member(s) when they run into that scenario.

Welcome to October everyone! That means there is less than 3 months in the year that has been 2020. I would like to thank the staff team for all of their hard work on server. The following updates are what happened in the community and server side for Prop Hunt.

@"B0T. ikillyou" is our Staff Member of the Month! Congrats to him and his dedication to the server.

Nothing bad really happened to the server, but people would get kicked out either during a round or map change which was rather frustrating. Generally a refresh or pressing okay and trying to rejoin the server would nullify the issue. This issue was overall resolved and has died down for the most part at this time due to an update released.

Other notable items were:

  • A couple of trusted were removed for being AFK for over a year with no signs of life on the forums, discord or server
  • The viewing of the PH game relays were altered for staff viewing only. The main reason for this was due to the amount of shitposting and disrespect done towards players and staff at times. The other major reason was that some individuals were using the relay to ghost and give themselves an unfair advantage over the rest of the players. Asking people not to cheat did not work so we removed the temptation altogether.
  • @MissPauling was added to the Trusted team and @Lt. Star was added to the Tmod squad. Congratulations to both of them for their hard work. These additions along with the removals means the staff list was updated
  • The overflow pointshop was cleared out of all ERROR skins

- Superhero pack, lara croft, predator, removed from server files

These will be fully removed in a week from the server, if you have them and want compensation for them, I am on daily.

You have a week to do so.

- Moved Nami, Alice, Indiana Jones, Emperor Palpetine, Groot, Han solo/chewbacca to deleted models section of shop/edit to warn players of removal

- Man of the Match rewards updated. 10,000 points + 75 premium point option added.

- Removed deleted models from crates.

- awarn system added. 3 warns is a kick. 5 warns is a 2 week ban. 7 warns is a perma ban.

- Discord integration added.
