Making this guide in hopes it will be useful to everyone, would like to say thanks @Jammin for bringing it to my attention that there was never a guide for how to remove/add channels that you would be interested to see or would want removed, so without making this longer than it should.

Step 1: Find the Channels and Roles and click on it.

Well, this is our new moderation bot! This bot handles our new points-based moderation system for items in the discord.
This thread is here to explain better how the system will work! The moderation system as a whole is explained in #✅︳community-info.

This is best explained in example form. Lets say we have a fool in the discord. Here, they have sent a bad message, which is in violation of the rules:

Clearly, this user is in violation of Rule 2, which is our rule on Toxicity (Keep a positive atmosphere, no flaming/harassing/etc). This post is a clear violation, as any support of the MP9 is objectively toxic.
Therefore, a staff member issues a warning to the user. When the user is warned, the user will receive a DM from the Giselle Bot account.
The Bot will open what's called a "Case," which is in effect the warning issued. This will include the full text of the rule violated, the specific reason the moderator provided as to why the rule is in violation, any evidence applicable (usually uploaded directly to Giselle Bot but could also be via imgur link/etc), and a case ID #. The DM will also indicate if the user was muted or banned.
In this case, the user received the following DM:

Now, our adversary wishes to appeal the request. There is an argument to be made that the MP9's level of cringe was reduced when the gun was nerfed, and that it is no longer considered "toxic" to support its use. To appeal this, discord mascot will go to channel #?︳contact-staff, and fill out the form that pops up:

To find the User ID, the command -userinfo can be run. The old moderation bot, Auttaja, is still in the discord and can provide some useful functions. Discord mascot runs the command -userinfo in #?︳bot-shit in order to obtain their User ID:

The Punishment Type is usually a Warning, but may also be a Kick, Mute, or some type of channel restriction (such as TTT Muted or PH Muted). The appeal type is why you are appealing - whether you feel the punishment is unjust/improper, or if you think it is proper but you wish to explain what happened/ask for leniency. If you are appealing an old Auttaja strike (which you are still encouraged to do), this may also be an Expired reason, as these strikes are considered expired after 6 months time passes. Here, our foe has filled out the form as follows

Once this is done, a new dedicated channel is found under the Strike Appeals category, located at the very bottom of the discord channel list. In this channel, a discord admin will ask any questions needed. Once a discord admin accepts your ticket, they will handle the case and close it with a decision promptly, ideally within 24 hours of opening the ticket, after the discord staff team discuss the infraction.

In this case, the evidence is compelling enough to get the claim reversed. The admin involved will modify the "Specific reason" which will indicate the appeal was approved. Our anti-deagle friend shall receive a DM from the bot with the updated reason, as shown below. When the admin deletes the case from the record, all points are removed.

Unfortunately, this bot does not provide the number of points in the case DM sent over. To find this information out, users are encouraged to open a ticket to review their warning history with a member of the discord staff team.

Strikes are considered expired after 6 months time passes, and, under MOST circumstances, should be automatically removed. However, our moderation but does not allow for this to happen automatically. Please bear in mind that we are expecting to have a new moderation bot available in the next few weeks, but we should try to behave in the meantime.

Therefore, in order to help me help you get older strikes removed, please comment on this thread with only the following information:

ISSUE #1: “SELECTIVE STAFFING”
On the discord feedback form that Kaptain provided, one of the things that I said was a big issue in the community was an inconsistency amongst HOW staff members are delivering punishments. There are those who have done a very good job of giving verbal warnings in chat, and then there are some who seem to never say anything but do all the strikes (in theory of course, this segues into another issue I have with the discord; more details later). There is a rule and punishment guideline thread, but something that is missing is an explanative document showcasing HOW staff should handle situations as they arise; I couldn’t find a file for these on the PH DR or Murder rule pages, but the TTT one has a Staff guideline and “scenario” fill out for staff apps that see if you know how to appropriately respond to the situation. I think Discord should have that same type of form set up so the staff committee can look at what a potential staff candidate would do in certain situations and steer them the right way if what they put is different from what is expected of them.  

Something that Jammin said on Shaye’s unban thread (https://www.dinklebergsgmod.com/site/sho...413&page=2) that rubbed me the wrong way was what he considered to be “selective staffing.” What I think the problem is that people on the staff team might potentially be ignoring when their friends say things such as that, but if someone they don’t like says it, they would administer the punishment without a single hesitation. I do not have any proof of this of course, so this is mere speculation.  
Regardless of whether this is a thing or not, the best solution in my opinion is to instill expectations for the discord staff team (but in more detail than Avi’s thread here: https://www.dinklebergsgmod.com/site/sho...?tid=11562). Why should they more detailed? That’s easy: that way, we have documentation that can be used to help keep members of the discord staff team accountable and help the Discord Staff team understand what is expected of them. I know that my knowledge of how the Discord staffing is very outdated, as I was a member of the team back in the Summer of 2020, but I was always told “just use common sense when moderating the channels.” This typically is good advice, but the problem is that you’re dealing with 6 different perspectives of what is considered “common sense” and that can lead to potential issues for the team.


 
ISSUE TWO: THE MODERATION BOT
Now, on the matter of the moderation bot. This is something that has always been a pet peeve of mine with it, but I finally have the gall to say it professionally:
 
THERE SHOULD BE TRANSPARENCY ON WHO ADMINISTERS A WARN/BAN THAT REGULAR MEMBERS CAN ACCESS AND SEE.
 
When Shaye was banned here [what the fuck (dinklebergsgmod.com)], the bot did not inform of a reason. Yes, I understand that it was due to an automatic softban that was administered after reaching the threshold; however, we members should be able to see who administered the warn. There is no secrecy behind who uses commands on someone in any of the servers, so I do not understand why the discord is different. The staff members need to be able to be held accountable if they are not doing their job properly by more than 5 other people who are staffing the discord with them.
Someone might say “Well, Shaye might have the bot blocked, that’s why she didn’t get the message.”  I can counter this argument easily; when I received a softban after harassing a member of the community back in 2021, I was not sent a DM from the moderation bot saying that; I just simply did not see the Dink’s Gmod discord anymore, and that is something I’m not entirely sure is intended or if it is a mistake/bug.
 
CONCLUDING REMARKS
I think that a LOT of the challenges discord staff face right now (i.e. being called abusive, etc.) can be fixed by having an updated “expectations” thread that goes into further detail as to how to professionally handle situations that may arise (i.e. not throwing the power hammer around and abusing commands [not that anyone is doing this, at least not that I’m aware of] but instead professionally defusing the situation) and adding transparency of WHO is giving the strikes/bans to again, hold the staff accountable for their actions. This may not be a job, but as staff, you are a leader and influence others whether you think you do or not. Just like any other SUCCESSFUL leadership team, the Discord staff need to be able to be held accountable.
These are my opinions on the matter; if you disagree with me, feel free to. I do not think my way is the only way that’s right, I just simply wanted to give input and see if others agreed with how I feel about the state of things.

I don't know if this is something that is considered to be against the rules because I am a little confused as to what Rule 7a is targeting:

Rule 7a:  
Advertising/solicitation for other discord servers, other GMod communities, or other businesses/communities is not allowed.
Blatant advertising (posting a link/etc) or solicitation via DM's (via mutual server share) is considered a Major violation. ~Jammin

Does this include things like what I posted (My university's Music Department events that do not cost money to watch the stream), or things like Trade Coffee when I would talk about my coffee subscription? Or is this like if I were to try to advertise my own business, that isn't allowed; maybe I'm just overanalyzing this question, but I just felt the need to ask the community to see if I'm the only one who's confused with what this rule covers or not. I know that posting your twitch channel is allowed in the #creations channel, so does this also apply to when I want to share events like my upcoming senior recital this fall? I just am having a little confusion, but I could just be overanalyzing the rule and being an idiot.

Please add #Food as a channel, i love food because I am fat and I love talking about cooking since i have to get creative with my restrictive diet and show off my skills.


Of course it would be opt-in as well, to filter out potential trolls. But even then, seeing food sins is still relevant to the channel and would be pretty entertaining to see!
