You don't need anyone to find some arbitrary way in explaining to you that what you did was wrong, all I can say is I hope this doesn't happen again as you are generally a positive presence in the community.
In the future, if you do have a genuine social problem come up with someone else in the community please bring it up to a staff member that you trust so that the issue can be handled in a more constructive way, and in a way that doesn't disrupt the entire point of you being here in the first place, to have a good time
What they said to you rubbed you the wrong way, understandably, but it's always possible for people to find an understanding between each other and the staff team is here to help you with that.
