Anyways. When there was a thread made about discrimination towards dtmods i supported it, but if dtmods dont want to be discriminated against DONT DO SHIT LIKE THIS...

I have no problems with dtmods until shit like this happens.

I don't have problems with DTmods as a concept. Toxicity can come from those who earned a rank or those who bought it. Which brings me to the main point of this post. Reading that message exchange, that's the type of toxicity that can kill a server/community if nothing regarding it changes or is addressed. I've been staff (including superadmin) on several incarnations of what is basically the same server and staff turning against one another is one of the worst things that can happen to a community. In this case, after reading the message exchange, it's clearly one-sided and Mari does not want to put up with the attitude/hotheadedness presented by Sea Burns. I'm not going to urge staff to make any decisions regarding his punishment (seems like they A. Have done so and B. It's not my place to do so.

I address this part to you, Burns. I do give you credit for realizing you done fucked up, but you still done fucked up. I can relate, in a sense. Having staff on a server makes you feel powerful. But, you cannot forget that you're ultimately still playing a game with other people who come on to have fun, and staff is simply there to ensure everyone can have fun, be safe, and be welcomed. The purpose of staff is to discipline those who try to infringe upon that, not be someone who infringes upon that. And to act all high and mighty towards a new staff member infringes upon them having fun and feeling welcomed. I conclude with this- ask yourself- how would you like to be told by one of the full-fledged moderators or admins the things you told Mari? In the future, I really hope you treat others the way you would want to be treated.

tl;dr- Get off your high horse, and reflect upon what you did.
