Spring mine with magento stick = Not a kos?

Yea you didn't see enough to determine what he did, unless you use the fact that he's been doing it all night as your reason. So at that point, as soon as you make that assumption it's metagaming.

My take on this. I really had to pause and unpause the clip a bunch just to see what you saw, and I do agree that it kinda looks like Jack might have been carrying a spring mine. I wouldn't say it was enough to say it was conclusive, but definitely the possibility of it being there. The issue is that in no way was your perspective him "definitively" carrying a spring mine. It very well could've been (I understand it wasn't, but it very well could've been) just a case of the victim (who I think is Bald? Maybe?) just walking into a spring mine while Jack was holding his Magneto. The perspective doesn't provide 100% certainty, and that's why you got slayed.

Would I have reported you if I was in Jack's position? Probably not, but Jack was 100% completely within his right to report you for it.

One other thing though, but it really does seem like this entire slay is being thrown a bit out of proportion. I don't mean to try to make it seem like your opinion is invalid or doesn't matter, but at the same time it really is just a single slay. I'm always of the belief that if you get a warn and you believe it's unwarranted, you should ALWAYS appeal it since warns are longer lasting. However, what we are talking about is a slay for a single round. I understand that getting slayed for a reason you don't believe is justified is a bit irritating, but at the same time this isn't a case of Virunas making bad calls left and right. I mean, I've been slayed in cases I've disagreed with plenty. However, it's just easier move on and enjoy the game.

i miss when this game was about social deduction and not memorizing a 33-point list of rules (charitably) (i counted)

The 33-point list of rules are there so you and everyone else can do social deduction in peace :)

I happened to be watching that direction with my eyes and saw him place it in front of him and run away. If I didn't see him do this then he woudlnt have died for it.

I'm tired of the misinterpretation of staff members so it's difficult to enjoy something when it's different depending on whos playing.

No I didn't kill him because he was doing it all night, I said that because it's simple to watch out for if you know what you're looking at.

This, coupled with it being a your POV vs us viewing in death scenes thing changes our first impression of it as well. I think that the slay is fine ultimately. This is one of those shit happens slays.  Most RDMs are what people think are valid KOSs, it happens.

But hey, at least all of the staff are agreeing on our interpretation of this. So that's a win for you. :)

However, it's extremely obvious what he was doing, and if you're a long time mod on the server I think you should know better not to report for being killed for borderline KOS things. I get killed almost every time I'm on for mega sus things (like standing next to one of my barnacles) but I think it's important to swallow your pride occasionally and just accept you got caught.
Exactly, It's all about opportunity for others it wouldn't have been a slay, play smarter and he wouldn't have died. Some people know what they're looking at.

I do understand your frustration. I’m personally of the philosophy that if I get caught doing something, even if it’s kill on sus, I don’t report. I got caught. But I can also understand that if someone plans do to something specifically in a way that won’t get them killed, and then they get killed, they have every right to want a slay, even if I wouldn’t.
You can see him run up to him place it at his feet and suddenly he flies while Jack quickly turns and runs away you can see him aim at his feet and place it. I understand this happened quickly but just because something happens fast doesn't mean someone didn't see it. <- dont nit pick this as the only reason. If I wasn't able to discern it was him then I wouldn't have killed him simple as that.

Yeah I always love how y'all say hypothetical this hypothetical that even though you can see it happen, you see him go and aim at his feet with it, place it, turn and run. <- dont nit pick that as my only reason. It's apparent hes holding it with his magneto stick. Too bad you're only ego driven in that last comment Bunniey but I'm glad you can agree on things when it's against me :) <3

And I peacefully deducted that he was T that spring mined someone with a magneto stick. Obvious things should be obvious instead of trying to hide behide "Yeah well it coulda been this" which is a very selective way to say "you were right but not because you were right"

actually it's so that you can go down the list point-by-point 34-64 times (depending on how you count it) and determine asocially whether one of those points applies so that you can be allowed to call someone a traitor, no social deduction involved
