We're not saying chat spam is fine. I've been on the receiving end of some horrible chatspam in my days as moderator and admin, there is a clear manner in which it is harmful and harmless.

This was my time as Admin. I completely understand what Mods have to go through. I am advocating for more discretion to be used in situations such as that as opposed to black and white rule following. I come from a time where the staff's job was primarily to make sure the server was fun and enjoyable. That's all. <3

To reiterate, I didn't mute for it the first time it happened. Once I realized that it may have 'broke' --- being a very loose term --- the bot, I decided to air on the side of caution. Being that I was there when the discord bot was made... I know that it's got spaghetti code.

I'd also like to state that while the warning was for chatspam it was ALSO for micspam. Which led to me making the ban.

I can see both sides of the argument here, but that has always been punishable for the time I’ve been here. Considering you have the 7+ warnings or whatever I would just wait out the day since that isn’t too long.

I mean he was warned, like a lot, and didn't get the memo. Wait out the day ban and learn from this. This is why the warning system is in place lol, and falsely claiming staff are on a power trip is silly.
