Personally, I'm to be viewed as one of the more 'casual' players. Rarely do I actually get competitive or mad over something in this game.
With that in mind, I dislike bhopping and don't care as much for grapple exploiting, yet I never really care to deal with it. Why?
One is individual of role, the other requires you to either expose yourself or be detective.
Think about it like this.
A traitor gets the choice between a grapple hook or bhopping.
If they grapple, they just get exposed. If they bhop... there's no consequence because nothing of 'exposing' is done.
This is because a grapple is a detective/traitor weapon, and the jetpack is just something you buy from the shop, is permanent, and has no consequence for wearing it. Not to mention, the jetpack retains the utility of lowering fall damage by slowing fall, and increasing jump somewhat.
Yes, an innocent can pick up a grappling hook. However, I feel this is more balanced than 'although the setup is longer you can still defend yourself' in the terms of bhopping. Since you need to cancel your momentum for self defense in the terms of grapple hooks, that's better than 'good evening, sir, i am in fact moving at mach 5. is that a dead body?' -You were killed by (person), they were a (role).
Granted, I don't grasp the concepts of either since I don't know either, but at surface value I feel bhopping shouldn't be allowed and grapple exploiting is a 'maybe idk lol'.
also about nerfing MP9, i can't really say much about it, mainly because most times i duel it i either win because the favor of gmod has dawned upon me and my winchester has instantly eliminated the threat, or i die because i suck at the game
although i have seen a lot of 'nerf MP9!" so i'll advocate for that
