What They Did: RDM slay for killing someone who killed an innocent

So the outline of the situation:
1) Kaiwan damaged Damien for 20 hp with a crowbar at 0:00 at round start. I did not see this. 
2) Damien kills Kaiwan at 00:04 and identified her as an inno
3) Damien made a comment about Kaiwan damaging him first. I didn't believe him.
4) I killed Damien for killing the inno that he admitted to killing. Kass was killed too but that was accidental crossfire when trying to kill Damien
5) Damien reported both Kaiwan and me for the RDM. Icey took the report and I was slain

So this is my question, and it's a serious question. Is it the expectation that all explanations made after killing an inno are believed? If I am damaged by an inno, and kill that inno for the damage, is it the expectation that all nearby players believe my side of events whether they saw it or not or face autoslay? Or is that only the policy when a whiney staff member who reports everyone for sneezing close to him makes the report?

Just trying to make sure I follow the rules!!

If you killed an inno that was defending themselves because you only partially saw what happened and assumed they were a T/it was RDM, that's on you

Also if you wanted clarification on the issue the smarter thing to do would be to not make an entire ass staff report on it and instead ask in discord or something

cammy kills damien who had a valid reason to kill kaiwan. this is rdm. i understand shooting is fun in the shooting game but try to make sure you have some kind of grasp on what happened before opening fire.

I've asked about this a million times. I think it is a "legal void"

Damien did tell you he was hit by Kaiwan, and in this case it was true. So he had every right to shoot, which means you did rdm. 

What if the person claims to have been hurt by the inno they kill and it wasn't true? and you still kill them? tricky situation. Not staff abuse though...

Seems a bit overboard for a slay, you could have just asked in-game why the slay was issued and to explain the reasoning this thread is beyond meaningless, unless it's for attention then i can see the point.

Thank you for your explanation! Not sure why you're feeling so defensive that you need to respond as if you're talking to a small child, but I assure you it's not necessary! 

My understanding is that TTT is a game of deception and, at least in most deception games, believing what other people say after killing someone is not the norm. But, if that's how Dinks operates, then I will bear that in mind!

I hope that we can both work past this as you seem very upset by this post. Also, I prefer to go by Cameron, not Cammy!
