I’m sponsoring Daegan because I think he has made significant progress in maturity. I believe he is now well prepared to become a Trusted for TTT. While he still goofs off from time to time, he knows that as a staff member some of the shenanigans will have to calm down. He knows the rules and I have asked him to read through them and the update guidelines just for good measure.

I’ve harped the difference between dedication vs obsession as a motivational drive before and will continue to do so because it’s improtant to know. For an example, multiple unban or staff apps aren’t necessarily a good or bad thing. The “why” behind them is the improtant part. Daegan strikes me as goal driven and dedicated to this. Instead of doing this for some kind of power over others or title, he actually wants to help badly enough that he continues to try even if denied on an app.

I've watched Daegan both mute and gag himself for any offenses he makes that are worthy of them, so Im unsure of where this is coming from xD He was doing this even back when I was a donor so it isn't only when staff is on that he follows the rules.

There have been many discussions I've heard where Daegan's maturity has come into question in regards to him joining the staff team. Although I haven't known him for that long, and I haven't seen how he acted when he first joined and throughout the past year, I believe that he's ready. I can tell that he genuinely wants to help a community that he cares about, anyone that talks to him knows how deeply he cares for this community. In my opinion, that's one of the most important things. Do you want to actually help, or are you just in it for the power? The answer to that question alone is paramount. Yes, he is less mature than many of the current staff members, but keep in mind that he is younger than those people. Despite the age difference, he is still more mature than other people his age, and will only be trusted. Throughout the years I've years here, I have seen immense growth from a staff member that starts at trusted, and years later they're more mature and hold higher positions. This is only his starting line, and I have faith in him that he'll only get better and better.


Pros
He isn't hotheaded, and far from impulsive. He takes criticism and doesn't get angry even if someone is extremely rude to him.
A very driven individual, who I can tell doesn't give up on his goals
Helpful and enforces the rules when he's on the server
