What have been some challenges you've faced as a Tmod?: There are a few. For one, establishing definitive targeting was always hard. Players will !p to explain they are being targeted and get upset when nothing has been done yet. This is usually when there is a demand for warn points or a ban without having enough evidence yet. Another challenge was quickly filling ban requests while there was so much going on. It's usually easier when other staff members are on, but when the team is spread thin, and there are nothing but guests, I find myself tabbing in and out of Discord and Garry's Mod, recording, screenshotting, and formatting requests, usually with in-game reports happening. The last challenge that comes to mind is having to reference the guidelines for niche violations. I don't like to administer warns on rare violations without being 100% certain I'm executing the punishment appropriately.

What have you done well as Tmod?: I'd say filling out ban requests has been something I've done well with. Collecting evidence for submission has gotten easier with each one that comes. The big thing I've noticed has been communicating with players. When there is an issue, I try to !p as much as possible and spectate their problems when it applies. The same comes to talking to players who are frustrated with an outcome I give. Sometimes it boils down to making one statement on a situation and leaving it at that. There have been moments when a player was frustrated at me because I handled a situation that wasn't in their favor, and I had to explain how things work.

What, in your mind, makes someone a good candidate for Mod? Do you feel that you exemplify these qualities?: I feel like it's simple: continue to do well with existing responsibilities and learn how to take on new ones. To me, the role of Mod is taking what you already know and being independent enough to take action where the role of T-Mod can't. This involves transitioning from ban requests to doing them oneself and reviewing other requests. With what I've handled before, I can confidently say I can manage the work of a Mod.

From my point of view, there is no doubt that you are Mod candidate. You are nice, you speak very well with poeple and you seem to take your T-mod job serious, well and with fair treatment.

You know it’s gotta be a +1 from me. Sacred has been level headed when I've been on, even when the server is a little wild. Has been very helpful with helping me learn the ropes, seems to know the commands, and just yesterday was compiling his evidence on a hacker on the server for ban requests. Is frequently on at times that no other staff are able to be online, having a staff member on at these times with the ability to ban seems to be a no brainer. In addition, Sacred has had T-mod for almost 6 months, almost three times more than the requirement.

Me and Sacred are on pretty bad terms and it pretty much started from this one incident ages ago.

I was following him in game. There were no other players around and he randomly called an actual KOS on someone. I proceeded to ask him why is he KOSing someone to which he replied "Ok KOS Crackbone" and we started shooting each other and I killed him. He was a T and proceeded to report me for RDM. He ignored anything that happened prior in the report which ended in me getting slayed. I escalated further, made a counter report that brother roach who recently became staff was looking into. Sacred pretty much pressured him to not look into it and convinced him that I was "trolling". I didn't get any feedback from both of them and i got warned for the "false" report .

I get that in the moment there might have been some misunderstanding or confusion but Sacreds hostile tone over the whole situation makes me think he knew he was in the wrong. Also pressuring a fairly new staff member to not do something or even talk to me about the incident always seemed to me like an abuse of authority from Sacreds part. Sacred ignored anything I said and refused to have an actual conversation with me and only responded with "keep this up and you're gonna get banned". Also Bhop scripting but if we started punishing bhop scripts we'd ban like 10 percent of the server so it's whatever.

I actively dodge the server if Sacred is on, but the few times we played after I still felt hostility from him towards me and I don't think he would provide any objective staffing if it involved someone he disliked.

Despite this I do acknowledge that I might be petty or biased mostly over an incident that happened quite long ago. On paper this app makes sense. Sacred is active and has been part of the community for awhile now and I wish him luck in his staff app.

1) why this wasn’t mentioned on his Tmod app and
2) how brother roach is considered a recent trusted at that time when Sacred became trusted himself a couple months after.

I'm all for feedback, and appreciate you taking the time to reply to my app, but I genuinely have no clue where any of this is coming from.

1 and 2. My warn was on 2024-11-23, Sacred became blue on 2024-10-20, roach became trusted on 2024-06-29. Regarding roach it was the first time (and only time, I haven't seen him ig since) that I saw him so combined with him asking Sacred for advice (I think it involved commands or something) I assumed at the time that he was new.

- B-Hop Scripting (Yes, we do ban for that)
- False Warnings (You mentioned the False Reporting given by Brother Roach, which in my opinion is technically valid since making counter reports like that is the definition of false reporting. I probably wouldn't have warned it but eh, it's still fair. However, you didn't mention the Chat/Mic Spam warning delivered by Sacred just 20 minutes earlier. Was this related?)
- Pressuring Lower Ranked Staff/Abuse of Authority

Each of those things are behaviors that a staff of any rank should not be doing, but my question is why was this never appealed? Did you ever talk to an admin about this behavior? Do you actually have evidence of how sacred "pressured him to not look into it and convinced him that I was trolling"? It's really unreasonable to drop a bunch of info like this five months later in a staff app without any sort of evidence or previous mention, and expect results. I'm not trying to say that you are completely BSing everyone, but claims (especially abuse of power) like that are a bit more on the serious side and without evidence and without actual attempts to seek any sort of 'justice' it really doesn't help your case. I'd very much like to hear more from this.

As for the Mod app itself, pending the above I'm very supportive of sacred being demoted back to green. Active, level-headed and generally a positive influence on the server. I think a lot of his self-proclaimed 'challenges' are things that all TTT staff members face at times, and aren't something that negatively impact his ability as a staff member.

This is my last post for the whole ordeal. We can go back and forth regarding this but in the end of the day we will be going in circles. Sacred and Roach aren't gonna respond and I don't think this will have any influence over the final descision made either way.

Counter reporting probably wasn't the best thing to do but at least it forces staff to do something since all of my "@" and !P were being ignored.

Regarding the mic spam there were several apes on and the usual micspam was happening. Several players were warned and we chilled so it's whatever, I only remembered this when i was looking up my warns. 

I have no evidence if I did I would have appealed. Although at best I would have lost my warn points (which were gonna expire in a month anyway so the effort to benefit ratio seems way off to me) and not proven much about Sacreds abuse of authority since the majority of this was them talking privately without involving me so idk how is someone suppose to get sufficient evidence in this case. You can disregard anything I say as me being "just trust me bro". At the end of the day this isn't a ban request or complaint thread but a staff app where we give our descision and opinions based on our experiences with the person. I frankly don't remember the last time when someone actually pulled evidence to discredit someone on their staff app. 

I'm adding a snip of something what I said back in 2020 which I still think holds true regarding evidence gathering so at least you can say I am being consistent (Please ignore the condescending tone of the whole 2020 post, It definitely isn't as bad rn as it was back then, but we do have recent examples such as the Noire v Tiefling thread):

At the end of the day I hop on the server to have some fun and fuck around. Not make whole research papers on someone.
